It is not an easy trick to get down, I suggest to always try to go for it while you are playing, it is somthing you have to get a feel for it and then it become a bit more consitant. Remember to always hold foward+sprint and then press/hold roll when the stamina bar gets empty. If any of these button are not held or release the trick will not work.

There is however an easier way to do the infinite sprint trick but it is not always optimal because you have to go out of your way to do it sometime.

If you run off of a platform while your stamina bar gets empty, you will still be in a sprinting mode even though your stamina bar is empty. The game also allows you to buffer a roll when you are in mid air. So if you are sprinting in mid air with an empty stamina bar and then holding the roll button, you will get Infinite sprint.

In the video, the last example could be worth to go for at the end of mygeeto. However the force field is still active by the time you get there so you can not use that little slope to get infinite sprint.

The trick is use by a few runners in Coruscant before the third objective. Since the second objective is on a timer, you have the time to set it up and then it allows you to begin the third objective with infinite sprint already active.

I see more and more people these last few months interested in Star Wars Battlefront 2 speed running. It is nice to see the game having a bit more activity.

I have answered a lot of people questions in private in the past and I thought that it would be nice to have a thread where information is more accessible or easier for someone to ask a question about something they do not know.

So if you have any questions, drop them here! I'll be happy to answer them (or anybody else that do know the question you are looking for :) ) .

Took a quick look and the problem seems to be driver related, mainly the Crimson Driver. If this is the driver you have, try and see if you can rollback or something.

Do you use an AMD graphic card? I heard that there a glitch with these cards the makes the ground of some maps red. This might be why you are having this problem. I did not played the PC version much so far, so I do not really know any solution right now.

From a new profile with 0 medals earned. Even if your profile only has 2 endurance medals, it would technically be considered as Any%with bonuses.

You can start the timer at the same time you press "Start Mission"on the Mygeeto mission screen or as soon the loading screen for Mygeeto is done. It is up to you.

We do use a decent amount of different classes in our any%with bonuses current strats. A lot of scout trooper (fastest regular unit for walking/running), heavy trooper for Felucia and some people prefer storm trooper for some of the later missions just to name a few examples.

Yoda sucks because he can not deal with ennemies far away from him and his normal combo attack is not great. But his mouvement speed is really fast so that makes him worth it in the speed run.

My Any% No Bonuses is really awful and just begging to be beaten, I only done one attempt of it. I do not like that category personally. Get yourself ready to die a lot to random. So yeah go for it, I would like to see if you or anyone else can beat it. :)

Just as a note, be sure to start from a fresh file everytime you start a speed run attempt.

That is awesome, it would cool to have more people doing runs and strategies research.

The game is pretty RNG based so that makes it hard to optimize it (espacially the last few missions that can be pretty rough). But that is also what makes it fun for me, trying to deal with what the game throws at you. A jedi is in your way where he is not supposed to be, do you play it safe and kill him? or you try to run past him to save 2 seconds? The choice is yours. xD

I do know that taking out loads from your run can be really annoying, but it is a necessary evil unfortunately. Even if we did decide to go by real time and without loading, it just become "who has the fastest PC" competition.

Just by looking at the current leaderboards for the Any%with Bonuses category:

Matumbro = 1:17 Load Time StingerPA = 2:27 Load Time Jimmeh = 1:53 Load Time

These 3 runners are on PC, look the difference between StingerPA and Matumbro. One minute and ten seconds loading time difference is huge. Removing loading is not only fair for console runners but for PC as well.

I do apologize for anyone that would have been interested in joining the Battlefront 2 speed run community and did not just because of that reason and I hope I do not come across as "that one guy that is just trying to defend his run" because I am currently the only console runner that post his run on the leaderboard.
