Rules: -Every enemy that you can kill/defeat in the game must be defeated, including ones that don’t give you coins. Includes all minibosses. -Enemies that respawn (such as bobombs, moles, and snowmen) must only be killed once -Enemies that can’t be killed (thwomps) can be ignored. -Enemies, like bobombs, that can explode on their own, must be triggered by the player and must visibly or audibly die in the run. If you trigger a bobomb and it doesn’t explode before you die or exit course, it doesn’t count. Also, if one gets hit by the bubbles in BOB, it also doesn't count. The only exception to this is the player throwing an enemy off the stage. They will die/explode on impact, and thus can be safely assumed to be killed. -Any enemies that fall off the stage on their own must still be killed by the player. They can sit on the death plane, and thus cannot be assumed to be dead just from that. This typically would require a stage reentry. -Intro skip allowed
Enemy list: I'm about 95% certain I got all the killable enemies, but if I missed anything, let me know.
Anyone who does a run and posts it here will be added to this leaderboard spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Hdv2OlsdPnbbSwU4RRu4QJ8Qguf0WmEFhGXBisGLDZk/edit?usp=sharing
Run example (second PB):
Is this game dead? I have one run that's been waiting 3 months for verification, and 5 or 6 others that are a month and a half old.
The rules list for All Cups says emulator and VC are banned, then proceeds to say runs submitted to EMU must be run on an emulator. It has an EMU category, so I have to assume you can submit an emulator run to the EMU category? Is the rules conflicting like that intentional?
If emulator runs are "allowed" but don't post for true leaderboard, why not just have a separate emulator category for the main runs? Playing any N64 game on original hardware, if you don't already have it, can get prohibitively expensive these days, and it seems rather exclusionary to snub emulator players like that.
There are a few vague points to Mario Cam RTA that I'd like clarified. First, for the Mario cam rule, is it that you need to be in Mario cam before moving?
Second, what do you do if you accidentally Lakitu cam or forget after a warp or area load? Is the run over, or can you just restart the star you're currently on?
First, is it acceptable for a run to reload levels to get acceptable optional objectives as long as the timer is still running (i.e. not have that horrible dirty sink objective)
Second, when doing VR, are we allowed to carry 4 items to various places?
Edit: In team matches if one person dies, can you still submit the completed run if the recorder didn't die?
