Are there any difference between any% and 100% other than getting gold on the balloon touch challenges or is any% just 100% but you don't need to be perfect?
So I'm wondering when does the time end in the run specifically, is it at the last text box, when the final boss is killed of last text box before end credits?
Also for the people with Complete Edition, is it allowed to use the bonus items/digimons given to you or is it banned? Also since I have the game on Switch and do a run of the game on it I couldn't submit it since the only platforms allowed are PSVita and PS4. (would also apply for owning it on PC)
his account got hacked (or whatever the correct word is), he was in the middle of a run when it happened
Right now Standard and HD versions are different subcategories of any%, but since they are different versions of the game (like GBA), I feel like we could make them more separate categories. Difficulties will remain subcategories, with Easy still being prioritised on the leaderboards.
I want people to tell me what they think of making then separate, and have Any% Standard and Any% HD being separate like we have currently with GBA.
Also, 100% GBA has been removed since there are no hats and thus no true 100% completion.
not on this leaderboard, everything needs to be there
best i can say is get used to spamming w-d-s-a-w-d-s-a or whatever your keys for joystick are
I made a TAS beating the game with 17 stars, which basically shows how a 17 star run would look like (of course, better than a human)
route is not the best tho, and a few stars are too hard for humans to do as fast. bridge (in course 1) can be changed for either switch or bounce (course 4)
yeah, i thought you couldn't but it actually works https://twitter.com/Taechuk/status/1043964065838559232
just tried this, like months later, standard just gets a green screen (softlock)
Honestly, for this game, I really don't think it is necessary because of the small amount of dream events. But they are not really short either, so it could make sense to have it separated.
In my opinion, we don't need to split them.
yeah, this is more like the "pole glitch" in bitfs and not like the ttc upwarp
For Circuit Mode runs, it only requires you to play every circuits, right? So you can just lose every circuit if I'm not wrong.
If the above is "yes", then I would like another category to be added, called "Any%". It's basically is just "Beat every circuits from a new file" since it "Beats the game" (the credits roll after winning the last circuit) or it could just be called "All Trophies", but then you wouldn't need to create a new file. My current Circuit Mode run is this type of run, so if this gets accepted, my run would need to be moved to this new category.
I want this because just having a run where you lose everything is not that fun to watch, and it would be a pretty hard/interesting category to learn and run, since you need to throw some events to save time, but then you need to absolutely win the others.
You need a key to open that door, and the door doesn't hide a loading zone, you NEED to open the door to go upstairs. Otherwise there is no way to beat the game, 0 key is impossible.
Also yes it is possible to clip through the door, but it gives nothing.
no, nobody would run it and it would be way too close of the 70 stars speedruns
These were most probably banned, since it would be way too broken and wr would be impossible since, you know, you can get an endless amount of coins. Of course the counter would stop somewhere, but you could still continue collecting coins.
1-5 to 2-1 would be interesting in standard if it works, as for 2-6 to 3-1. Since results screens are much longer in standard, it could be used in speedruns by exiting after the level starts. I don't know if it would work or if it would save much time, but it would be interesting.
