that's smart. i dont think its possible to do with down moving platforms, but well leave that for when TASes come in. then well try it

If tas can do it it could be possible but time will tell what tas would do to do that

tas can do practically anything. part of me agrees with you though. ive been trying different ideas, and none seem to work. if any of you have idease, publish a video explaining it or showing it, and post the link here

it might be. in other games, i saw people clipping through lasers to save some time. I even suggested a similar strat in act 5, though it wasn't proven yet. in other games, they were falling when the clipped through the laser. here we're going up. might just be possible...

Replying to @Many_mamute, going through lasers is not possible when going upwards, especially in the HTML5 Vex games. For you to be able to clip through a laser the hitbox of the character sprite can not overlap with the laser or the game will detect this and register a death.

In the Flash version of Vex 3, you "teleport" a little bit downward when falling and pressing the down arrow key to initiate a dropkick (this effect gets more noticeable the faster you are falling). With the right amount of speed and positioning you can bypass the hitbox of a laser by pressing down on the right frame which puts you below the laser's hitbox, avoiding it completely.

In Vex 3 HTML5, Vex 4 and Vex 5 it's not as simple as this, because you don't teleport as far down. The only method I've found so far is by being rotated sideways in the falling animation which makes your hitbox take up less vertical space.

Vex 6 and Vex Mobile run at a frame rate of 60 instead of the 30 that all of the previous HTML5 Vex games run at, which makes it basically impossible to get past a laser in a single frame.

Vexation 1, Vexation 2, Vex 1 and Vex 2 don't have lasers to begin with so I won't talk about them here.
