Hey,
Sorry for the delayed response. It’s tough for me to say exactly what the rule should be without seeing what the menus and everything look like myself. Tentatively speaking, I would say that you can use whatever normal way that you would use to switch games through the aurora menu, but avoid opening that menu until the first game is completed, just like how you can’t press the home button on a normal Xbox until the first game is done. If a time offset has to be added or subtracted to your time to make it fair to compare against a normal xbox360, I can figure that out once I see what it looks like.
oh i originally said that because in the email notification is said i was beaten by one frame
Afaik, we've never had a discord server for this game. The Two Player Games series speedrunning discord server exists, but this game isn't a part of that series technically so they don't even give this game a channel there. I'm not sure what the expired discord link is. However, I think it would be nice to have a server. @AidanB any chance someone would want to put together a server for this game and have it linked on the SRC page? I could even make the server myself, but I want to know that it would be used. I'm also not a mod of this game so it isn't for me to decide.
Believe it or not, only a few minutes. If anything it might be easier to do this on higher difficulties because the ai seems to have almost the same exact decision making on every difficulty, except that it just hits the ball harder and move movement means more 8-balls going in. I probably still got lucky to get it so fast though.
So far I have recorded some runs of FreeCell easy and medium for if they get added
Potential issue: FreeCell, like Sudoku, doesn’t reset when going into the game
Solution: require people to show themselves restarting the game in the video. Could be a solution to bring sudoku back as well. Might also need to be required in full game runs with these games in them.
Could we get a leaderboard for FreeCell? I find it super interesting, it’s much closer to an actual puzzle instead of the run being mostly spam and get lucky like solitaire
Could we also get an IL board for Hearts?
@AidanB I did a recorded run of the category that I was describing, although you may choose to change things in the official category. Here it is:
Sudoku doesn’t have a level board yet, that would be nice to have probably.
Any chance we can delete the old 64 tile runs that don't have a category anymore? They still show up on the main "Levels" board if you're not looking at a specific game, even though they don't have a category anymore.
If anything, it's possible to arbitrarily assign a goal to games like Snake, Blocks, or Sound Memory but since there isn't an exact agreed upon goal I was thinking to just not include them in the category
If I was to submit a run of this category that I just described, would you add it? Is there anything you would change? I'd like to know any differences from what I proposed before I do a run.
