So far, we know BLJ is patched, and some dude reccomended people to become so good they could pull off TAS tactics without tas so we could get enough speed to go throught doors BUT FORGET THAT.

the bunny clip (or mip clip) is a glitch that allow you to use the bunny to go throught doors, now you use that bunny twice, one to go throught the first door in the basement, then the second door leading to bowser in the fire sea. however... since as long as you doesn't grab MIP star, he doesn't disapear (or it seem like so) i was wondering, would it be possible for someone to use mip to clip throught more doors, all the way throught the locked key door requiring the bowser mentioned previously, Then use mip to clip throught the stair door which usually require a BLJ. Thus reaching the room in which have the door leading to the endless stairs, now there a problem with this, even if all of this setup was possible, (if anyone willing to try, do it im fairly busy these days still getting used to the control xDD)
but even if it worked, the endless stair just cant be skipped with a bunny you know? i doubt mister bunny has the ability to give us a golden mushroom straight outta mario kart wii, so this give us a problem, there is however an tactic that i remembered, most tas will first frame wall kick off the walls and chain it till they gain enough speed to just first frame wall kick a certain way facing upward, thus propelling mario throught the endless stair barrier and reaching the bowser entrance, this tactic is almost imposible to pull off, but hey we were trying carpetless for years thinking it was ''tas only'' but a human did pull it off a few times. not in a run, but who know we might get there one day.. so if carpetless is possible, would this be possible? and assuming the bunny tactic doesnt work at all (considering keys door tend to not ''Load'' things properly unless you go throught them normally) would it still be do able with Insanely precise inputs? Can a human even get this far?

I've watched speedrun of super mario sunshine(3d all star version) and I have to tell. it play exactly the same. there is little to no changes other than graphics and maybe a glitch in sirena beach episode 6. Is there any notable change in speedrunning on this version?

i haven't touched this site in years ever since my record were broken so many time that it doesn't even exist on the list anymore, But here we go. We all know the hoverless run there crazy techniques that allow us to complete shadow mario in every levels to unlock bowser and then we pull off more insane tricks to go throught corona mountain praying we doesn't fail mid way throught. but what about a sprayless run? now hear me out: Rules

You can use the hover nozzle, and other nozzles (such as turbo and rocket) but you absolutely cant use the spray nozzle, I tried this myself because i had a 30 minute of free time And the goopy piranha plants you get to fight at the airport or whatever it's called (apologies for my mediocre memory) And to unlock levels are possible with only the hover nozzle, stages can be hovered throught with the hover nozzle, it can wash things off and all, the first problem i encountered was... petey, now how am i supposed to fill her belly with water if i cant A: Spray and B: Mega spray since it require the spray nozzle anyway. After a few minutes i discovered something that worked, i know when petey open its mouth so i spin jump, and hover nozzle RIGHT over its mouth so all the water go in it, surprisingly enough it work. and petey can be defeated, other stages play out fairly normally, (just saying this would be a any% run ofc) then i reached gooper, and i was wondering how it would play out, ironically enough, over slightly over his head so the hover nozzle wash off the goop he got on his face, and then dive into its nose and pull it. i stopped at gooper because I'm definitely not as good as the runners that are on the leaderboard now. And because well i only had a few mins left. i find this idea interesting, because as far as what i tried it seem possible, hard, but possible so here i am.. I challenge someone to try this out for me. to see if it's possible, record your run and we might make a new category. we see a Million hoverless runs but i find a sprayless run challenging and it might not look like it, but it's actually fun to do, we might even discover new tricks. who know, i'm asking/challenging runners to try a sprayless run. for me, a old buddy and for the community, and because it,s a fun little challenging category we'd be able to make. i'm pretty sure all the required shines can be beaten without spraying, especially once you get the turbo nozzle (since there a way you can place yourself and spray with the turbo nozzle without moving.) so thats it it's a idea i would like runners to try, i'll try some things out myself as well. when i can. Goal?
