Sorry for the hold up. working on getting all my decks, potential decks and info so I get it posted on the DC and I'll see if an SRC mod can post and pin the same on here so the updated info will be avaliable on both ends, looking to have it done and posted to the DC asap today. trying to make it as detailed but simple and understandable as possible
as of now there is no plans for a TotW Speedrun Category/Leaderboard, the mods had a discussion about the possibility of adding it to the boards when it released but concluded the randomness of the map selection would make it difficult to judge runs against one another. as the game and the speedrun itself evolves, there's always the chance it could be reconsidered but as I said there's no plans for it at the moment. I've looked into it myself quite a bit, even watched a few TotW Speedruns, and I've seen some potential within it but right now I also don't believe there's enough active runners to even create an entire new board category sadly
Supply Line burn cards, which can be obtained by anyone with supply points relatively easily, are allowed for coop. Totem burn cards are banned in coop because they require DLC to be able to obtain them whereas in Training Mode for solo play, all burn cards are accessible and infinite for everyone. The difference between the two would be the significance of the ability granted by the card. With the supply line cards you get things such as Windfall, Dusty's cards (random shotty or smg, etc), Group Hug, etc. With the Totem Burn cards, you have very significant cards such as Secondary Weapon Upgrade, Primary Weapon Upgrade, Offensive Upgrade, Random Legendary Attachment, Random Legendary Weapon, Squad Armor, Hired Gun. I can understand that it's kind of a pain learning to differentiate between the two in-game but after a discussion amongst runners in the discord, we concluded this would be the best ruling to keep the coop playing field as level and competitive as possible. Hope I could kind of clear things up a bit and if you have anymore ?'s feel free to ask <3
Retimed to 50:41. Love seeing some act 6 runs, nice stuff! :D
The original way was to beat certain sections of Act I in Online but it's not available anymore. Beating Act I unlocks them only in the latest version of the game from what I'm aware. I'm trying to figure out how to unlock them in v1.0 without the ability to do it in Online. I've already beat Act I multiple times in runs so that doesn't work unless you actually have to kill the boss in the last level. Unless I have to do it in v1.4 and then downpatch but idk if that deletes character progression or not so I haven't tried that without confirmation. Besides that, I have no idea.
Is there any way to unlock the other 4 characters for the v1.0 speedrun? I was interested in running with Karlee but anything besides the base characters is locked for me and it won't allow me to join online servers to unlock them the standard way. If not it's fine but if there's a way around this it would be super helpful!
Hello, I'm a newer speedrunner and I've recently started running ACT I of B4B. I've been cutting my pb time down so I wanted to look into the official runs to see how I compare and hopefully be able to post my own run soon but I'm a little confused on the differences between the 1.0 & 1.3 category and as to which category I'd be currently running because I honestly just boot up the game and start runs lol. I'm not very knowledgeable on the specifics and any help would be greatly appreciated! Another reason I was a little confused is because I originally bought the game digitally for Xbox One but it was old and broke so I bought my pc so I assumed it would be PC Category runs since I'm on PC with m&k but I didn't know if it being through Microsoft Store like that would affect anything with the labeling since the game runs through my Microsoft account.
