After not playing the game for weeks, I managed to get 3 runs past 8-2 on mid 4:57 pace in the span of an hour. The first two died in really stupid ways, but the 3rd try was the charm, just as it was for my first 4:57!
This run was performed on a MiSTer (NES hardware emulator) with a Keychron keyboard. The firmware was modified to disable L+R / U+D in the same fashion as NES software emulators.

Following Twitch’s announcement regarding the 100-hour storage limit for Highlights, the SMB1 mod team recommends that runners reupload any previously submitted Twitch highlights to a permanent video hosting website (e.g., YouTube) and resubmit any submissions labelled as "at-risk".
