i've started trying to speedrun ascension, so i'm using livesplit (which admittedly i have not used before) and rumii's autosplit seems to stop after using the enby skip and entering the maze. is this meant to happen and is there any way to fix this? tyia
hi, the splitter during ascension with split 5 times throughout the run. the first spot being after entering the maze, second after completing the climb, third after entering the bathroom, fourth after leaving the smoke room, and the fifth after completing the game. it's stopping the timer because it's attempting to split after you enter the maze and you do not have any splits. to add splits, right click on livesplit and hit edit splits, a page should come up that looks like the image attached below. then, simply hit insert above or below four times and you should have five total splits. you can name them whatever you'd like, but they compose these sections of the run:
- start - entering maze
- maze - entering the core
- entering the core - entering the bathroom
- entering the bathroom - leaving the smoke room
- leaving the smoke room - completing the game

oh, and i forgot to mention, make sure to set your livesplit to game time. we recently switched from real time (RTA) to game time (LRT). LRT removes load times from your overall time, which balances out the run for those with hardware disadvantages, to check if you're using game time, right click on livesplit and go to compare against and select game time. good luck again!
