Hi all, I've been asked by a few people for mod status. I'm currently not the biggest fan of giving out mods for free, as then any random Joe can ask and become one. So I've devised a solution, mods will be offered to those who I feel have contributed significantly to the game's scene. I'd be looking for people who have contributed to the forum, skip finding, resources etc. more than for record holders. Under the issue of categories, I'm currently thinking that the game should have ILS for each track, any%, 100%, SDC and 1/4 categories (one main pyramid). I'm not very keen on adding individual championships as there are 16 in the main game, and it'd quickly turn into a wall of categories.

Looking for more current contributions, but your efforts are much appreciated. Putting a guide up for your season 1 route and the skips involved would get you a long way to being there though

1. If you are sure you know what you are doing and are very familiar with the game, there is no need to pick more mods.

2. If you are sure you will have time to verify all the runs by yourself, there is no need to pick more mods.

3. The job with a big game is very best split between 2-3 experienced people, so they can share the load when one of them is unavailable.

4. DON'T DO A MOCKUP JOB! Verifying runs without checking them at least briefly is a bad idea. Leting 10 people make decisions at once is a bad idea.

5. Don't go too far with misc categories. They are good, but split the community. Let the game grow and if needed add smaller categories later on. (First at least fill up ILs and get 3-4 people to run the game)

6. The game should not be split between platforms just because of a "cutscene skip" available on one of them. That should only be the case if games ACTUALLY DIFFER between one another.

7. I can say a good word about both tsu_nami and Mopsi. 3 mods would be perfect.
