I just use a two finger tap method on the LMB in my current record. I stray away from configuring keyboard inputs, tablet buttons, etc. as I feel that's the most honest way of speedrunning Cookie Clicker To just raw click with a mouse.
Eh, I have my gripes when it comes to using the mousewheel to click There's 3rd party software that can change the properties of your mouse so it it possible to click with the mousewheel and get like 50+ cps
Just my impulse reaction, but if we allow mousewheel clicking then I guess the time for 1m NGC and potentially a couple other niche categories will go by a lot faster.
I've mostly been winging it it my runs. But when I determine how fast I'm going "Making some dough" achievement in under 50 seconds "So baked right now" achievement in under 10 minutes Bake 500,000 cookies before the 18 minute mark and get all the necessary upgrades before 19 minutes
well shit, lel I just got that new wr, come on dude~
I don't see how this removes all wr competition. It's just a record that was set back a long time ago that finally caught up and got recognized. All versions of the game seems to be accepted as long as they follow the rules. It also shows why Golden Cookies are stupid.
You can still beat the 5 year old time, the strat they used can still be applied. Just get the 3 clicker upgrades, wait until 6 minutes and hope for a golden cookie and hope for that golden cookie to be a frenzy and hope for that frenzy to be a 777xcookie clicks for 13 seconds and just click that cookie 12-14 clicker per second and average 969696-1131312 cookies It's not hard, and it's pretty stupid.
I actually do like the idea of no golden cookie variants across the board I've been trying to run Hardcore, but WR is so impossible without good Golden Cookie RNG.
Trash% Rules:
Start the game from a new game/fresh save and collect all Hats and Skins for Trash tier.
Time starts when you enter "Not BF2" in the first tier or when you open your first set of chests
Time stops when you collect the final skin/hat you need. Must show collection at the end in order to verify that you've collected every hat/skin.
You can play minigames to earn money when you're short on money from buying chests
I am BEGGING the mod to PLEEEEEASE verify and make this into a legitimate category, this game is already RNG based as it is, so I don't see why we can't have an RNG based 100% run as well.
Starting off small, but eventually... we'll get to the point where we're speedrunning 100% the entire game in an already RNG heavy game.
Me and my friend are already so invested in this game that we're willing to even help as admins/moderators and see how far we can take this game.
First ever test Trash% run.
Me and my friend are thinking of speedrunning this game a lot more, and another category we're thinking of trying at some point is a 100% run. Collecting all the skins/hats for each tier.
We understand that it may take hours due to this game being an RNG based game.
So we propose maybe starting off or doing 100% runs for certain tiers.
Like Trash%... Crate%... ect. Eventually we do want to get around to trying out an entire 100% run where we get every single skin/hat in the game
I think if we're going to add upon the Guides in Darkest Dungeon, team Composition is something that everyone should take into consideration.
There's a bunch of different team comps that can work, but certain heroes that should be aimed for when doing a run. Perhaps even make a tier list on what heroes you want for the endgame.
High Damage Dealers for the Front 2 rows to get rid of Necromancer skeletons.
- Crusader -- gets extra damage on Undead
- Hellions -- Has a DOT of her own that she can place if skeles aren't on the field
- Lepers -- High damage, prone to missing
- BH -- Maybe in conjunction with someone to place a Target?? Could be worth looking into. May be slower, but it's something to possibly consider if the entire group is a MARK team
- MAA -- Can hit 3rd position if Necro summons too many Skele
- Battle Ves -- Battle Vestal can be something to take into consideration if you get super unlucky with your pulls from the Stage Coach
Backrow for DOTs/Damage
- HWM -- Can shoot and Place Bleed DOT
- PD -- Blights for any row
- HM -- Can attack any position and apply Bleed / Don't forget DOG TREATS
- Arb -- Straight up Damage from the Back Row
- Ves -- Can attack from afar
- Jester -- Finale nuke?? Lots of ways to Bleed
- GR -- Can blight and attack from afar
- Occ -- Can place MARKs, Debuffs, and clutch heals
There's a bunch of comps to take into consideration, I don't think the Abomination or Antiquarian are viable, due to Abom giving you unwanted Stress if you ever get into their Beast form, and Antiquarian just not being a source of damage at any point in time and just moneys.
Then again, I could be wrong and maybe Abom could be one of those CLUTCH RISKS that you're willing to take right at the end where after not turning into your best form, you finally go into Beast Form and deal as much damage to the Necro as fast as you can.
Just more things to think about and maybe even experiment with.
