So as you may know there was a little trick with booming voice in combination with gadgets, because instead of being bound to actually aiming it was bound to right mouse, so you could sprint and intimidate every 3 seconds or so, this now got patched very recently and no longer applies. It was accidentally nerfed on convergence's release when ADS slowdown was added, which I reported. This slowdown also got patched, but sprint intimidating was taken out with it. it might actually be joever hellmetters
While category extensions would be fun, I can barely think of anything within this game's scope. Hammer runs are already done basically as it is meta along with taser, full clears boil down to just fast XP runs I guess? There is now a ranking system, but I'm not sure how strict it is with lower difficulties, i.e. if the multiplier actually affects it.
The secondary objectives are random and impossible to do consistently for possible categories, so I suspect those boards if added would just be a wasteland
the game is incredibly rng reliant, so I do feel 100%ing a level is something people may look forward to as it can lessen on the spawn factor for decovenant, but for dawnbreaker the 50/50 chance still is an issue and I can possibly see the first checkpoint being annoying with like hoping both doors aren't blocked off.
Also regarding the viability of overcharge this is unrelated to the post, but it leads to rubberbanding often killing you as the timer is still going for it, so I don't even recommend using it for checkpoints outside dawnbreaker, Decovenant's keycard door also causes overcharge to rubberband.
So for a dawnbreaker run i have used overcharge to reach specifically the first checkpoint quicker. mostly to cut out the rng nonsense that the level has, and not deal with a horde. I also use overcharge for my other speedruns to reach extraction faster. Due to using a checkpoint and the fact it is outdated now, I have not submitted it.
Using overcharge outside of extraction and extreme lag kills you, and you need to retry and go through a loading screen that can vary depending on your pc's performance and internet connection. Not to mention the game currently suffers from a bug where the mouse is hidden taking off even more time, so getting to the point I'm wondering if we just pause the timer during the game over screen and then unpause it after we load in again, just so these loading times don't require a decent pc and going blindfolded with your mouse.
Can confirm Dawnbreaker is still unplayable, the supposed bug fixes didn't solve the god awful lag it has, to the point I've actually survived overcharge It's that bad.
Fun for hammer mains due to the shielders. I will say however I do hate how the lever is rng based, but it's better than Decovenant and Dawnbreaker rng wise. Because you don't have to worry about non-hostile kills or getting a perfect spawn, in fact I still got sub 5:30 even with a less than ideal password spawn and I needed 4 plates anyway. I just suspect ultimately for solo, getting favorable scavenger drops is the most concern you'll have here.
Wouldn't killing yourself with an extension ladder or the dropship also count? Cause under rules it seems to only mention forest giants, and I am kind of wondering why this is?
