I'd be interested in glitchless as something separate. This version's leaderboards just seem cluttered without the separation.
Why not add a subcategory for Virtual Console runs like the DKC leaderboards did?
I don't see why we can't have subcategories for vc under single cups just like how vc and emu are separate from N64.
I would be interested in Individual Cups Extra Mode (both Skips and No Skips). Sounds like a lot of fun for those who don't have the time to do All Cups runs.
The Nintendo Switch Online version of the game should be viable for speedrunning (i believe it's the same version release as Wii Virtual Console), just the use of save states or "restore points" are banned and will disqualify a run. Other than that, it should be viable. Maybe not the fastest version, but still an option.
I'd be all down for Glitchless categories, I mainly do speedruns for fun and I don't have the time to learn all these precise skips and glitches, so having a category where I don't need to worry about all that would be great.
The discord server is where the time trials community mostly is, MarioKart64.com has a leaderboard of time trials.
It's a fun category for beginners to learn but has enough to it to where it'd be extremely difficult to master, I think it'd be a lot fun to run.
I was wondering if it'd be possible to add categories for the Super modes avaliable? Unlike All Emeralds, you don't need to collect them all to go Super. I feel like it'd be a fun category.
What would you even consider to be required for 100% completion? That would have to be a community discussion for what would be required for the category.
Honestly sounds like a really fun time even without skips!
Definitly would be really cool to see. I'm personally all up for it.
Speedrun.com is usually used for beating the game or particular elements of a game as fast as humanly possible. I love playing Exercise Mode when I get the chance, but high score records and speedruns are entirely different things. I'm glad you have been able to enjoy replaying the game, but I don't think this is the right place for exercise mode unless we can think of something for that game mode. I wouldn't be opposed to some form of a Exercise Mode run or high score record leaderboard.
If you're using the same Nintendo account, open the EShop and go to the top right corner where your profile is, there should be a re-download section there. You should find 3D All Stars there.
Are you using the same Nintendo account you were before you reset the system?
From all of my playing, Switch VC is probably the fastest re release just from resets and loading times.
I haven't had any delay problems with tricks on Switch VC.
