I actually hadn't noticed it wasn't already on, my bad. ^^; I'll update everyone's times later.
I don't see much reason to add a category like that, it would function about the same as getting a house, plus, getting a pet is not really a goal like getting a house is, and that's something I'm trying to lean more towards.
If you want more short categories, you have Wobble Run and its levels, and I still get occasional runs for legacy levels like the waterfall caves, observatory, and the ancient temple, so you have options.
Since the Museum is now in a completable state, Museum is now an official category, and I also figured, while I'm here - let's make Fishing book and all Presents runs too.
On a similar note, due to the vagueness of the categories, All Tasks, Secrets, and Possible Objectives are now misc. categories - still runable, but brushed off on the main leaderboard.
-
So yeah, I would definitely count those as secrets as they are not task objectives.
-
I would say things like the ghost pet are, but any pet that's unlocked through museum unlocks we can leave out from the run. Same goes for the fishing boat, we don't need to do that since that's a task reward.
-
The quiz outfit is a bit up in the air, you do make a good point that it's not technically a job outfit, so we could include it, but I do worry that'd make the run a little too RNG based at higher level. So I suppose that can still be up for debate and I'm willing to hear what you think.
-
If we count the quiz outfit, for the same reason we would then count the alien pizza and water balloon tank jobs.
-
Presents absolutely count, there's not really much reason for them not to.
-
The sword and crab are both absolutely secrets until further notice. I was actually considering if it'd be worth going into the weather task to do the sword because of that, but that may be more of an "all unlockables" or "100%" routing strat over just an all secrets one, idk though.
Yeah, I was thinking secrets might be anything that doesn't come from a task or job, so things like the sword in the rain, the giant crab, the sloth, the dinosaur, etc.
I'm unsure if I should count the pets for that process as well. Still deciding on that.
The original idea of All Secrets was supposed to be shy of 100% given 100% wants you to buy all clothing and cars as well as unlocking everything, and all Secrets just wanted you to unlock everything.
But we're kinda at a point where tasks and jobs are objectives and not really "secrets", so I'm thinking maybe an update to the category is in order. Problem is, I can only think of a few "secrets" off-hand to make a checklist of, so I'll have to sit down and figure that out later. Actually, on that same note 'All possible Objectives" may also need a bit of a revamp, since objectives are now actually established more than they were when the categories were created.
idk, kinda throwing my thoughts out there. In case I decide to act upon my thoughts, so no one is jumped from it.
All jobs, get a house, and 100% are fine tho.
I had found that some weeks back when I was running Wobbly Run, I was never able to make it consistent, so I haven't bothered taking it myself.
While 100% has not really been achieved on the boards yet, I can say with absolute confidence you don't need multiple days to do it, so no, we wouldn't allow that.
I had completely forgot there was a playstation version.
There we go, I hope it's sufficient ^^; I might do some runs myself later, whenever I finally have the time to do so.
I'll get to it, sorry for not doing so sooner. ^^;
Things have been pretty hectic on my end and it slipped my mind by the time I had any breathing room.
I hadn't had much of a chance to look at the minigames, but I had considered it. Getting friends to play those with requires them to also have time too. XD
As for if a dev wanted to submit a time? I don't think there's an explicit rule against it? Regardless, I'd most likely allow it myself, I see no reason not to.
Do you think I should try for a second board for Discolored 2, or do you think we could just get away with slapping on an "Episode 1" and "Episode 2" onto this board?
I finally found the time to play through the Demo of the second game and I want to know your thoughts.
The timer should start at the first frame of the cutscene. I'm not entirely sure which ones you're pointing to that start it later, but since you're bringing it up, I presume there are some that have slipped by. I'm probably not gonna make a huge fuss about it, since those runs will likely be moved come next update, I've been a lot more accepting of some things I probably would be more vigilant about - if this was any other circumstance, but I can try to keep a better eye out for it in the future since you guys really do seem to be taking runs of this game seriously. ^^;
I know there are runs that, if I was more stringent on, I'd probably also have declined because of their super abrupt cuts at the end of the runs, because some runners have decided to stop their recordings the frame they hit that buy house button so it looks like people are ending their runs early - if this was MOST other games I moderate, that wouldn't be accepted either, but I've been a little looser on this game about that, since the runs being on the main board is only temporary for the time being.
(Another example is the current "All Jobs" run that forgets the treasure hunting job, but that's also in part because I didn't actually know the treasure hunting job was now considered an official job until after I verified @DogKnife's run, so that'll be something to keep in mind later.)
Well, since there's no order to what task or what job you need to do, you would have to decide what your last job is, no? But otherwise those runs, as the name would entail, requires the player to go through all the jobs and all the tasks.
Edit: Both runs also have the goal stated as "Complete all jobs and get the uniforms for each." and "Complete all jobs, all quests, and run each race." with the whatever you choose line being connected to when the timer ends, being on the last job you do.
...What part of "All jobs" or "All secrets" insinuates that you just pick one to do?
Well, I'm gonna need to know what all I'm missing before I add it. ^^;
Okay, so... I think I have added everything where it needs to be. I'm really gonna have to make time to get caught up on this game so I can keep up better. XD
Oh jesus, that's... a lot I'm missing. o.o When you guys said "Dipluce and Grace" I thought it was just like... a couple levels, I didn't figure you guys meant whole ass new towns. XD
I'm way more behind than I thought I was. >.>;
