Today I went and out of curiosity, I framecounted the One Game (Lose) WR and the time came out to be a 8:02.256, despite the fact it is listed as an 8:03 on the leaderboard. Just wanted to bring this to the mods' attention!

I am Nolmy and I am looking to get more into this game. I recently started doing orb 11 exit after not doing any SMW for years, and I have gotten to 10:52 so far. I am looking to take this further with cloud, however, I have a few questions first. This video shows what I've been trying for cloud but after many attempts, I haven't even gotten it once. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there something I am missing with the trick?

My other question pertains to the animation when you grab Yoshi in YI2. In runs I see, the animation for when Yoshi comes out of his egg seems sped up, how can I do this in my runs?

Wii Homebrew emulators are prohibited, correct? Just wanted to make sure before I start running the game.

So i recently Homebrewed my Wii and I am able to get an NES emulator on it. When I boot up VS. Super Mario Bros, the colors of the game are a bit glitchy, but as far as I can tell, the gameplay is the exact same. So am i allowed to play with this or should I get a different ROM?

NES repros are allowed, right? Does barnowl use a repro? And if so, can anyone link me to where i could get one?

So I used to play this game as a kid and started to speedrun it for fun. But why isn’t there a full game category for all three “levels” combined?

Since I am not a super mod, I can't add him as a mod. Both him and I can verify runs very quickly as we are almost always on speedrun.com

So I have been thinking about this recently. I have seen many new mods being added for SMB1, and on almost all runs that are in the sub 5 range, I have seen eddie has retimed the run, and I was surprised to see him not being added as a mod. I wanted to hear the community’s feedback on this, so I created a straw poll where you can vote if Eddie should become a mod. I also realize that being able to time a run is not the only thing to need to be able to do become a mod, but I feel like eddie is just very knowledgeable and he knows what he is doing when verifying runs. Today, while on MrDunlo's stream, he played against Seattle and got an 8:31, so I thought it would be fun to create a fun document where we would put times against specific teams. Here is the document if interested.

Both for any%, are you allowed using a DSi? And can you use Luigi?

So I have been trying to find a way that you can get Dallas close to every time, and I think i have found a somewhat consistent method. I have found it to work about 1/5 tries. Basically what I do is as quickly as possible go to the Team Select screen. I try to wait around 2.5 seconds~ and quickly go down to Chicago. Then pay attention to the star circled in the picture. Once that turns white press a to select Chicago. This method of doing this is what actually happened in Leinkenstein's 8:01. Again this could all be my imagination and this could be completely random, but I feel like I am having better results through this. Tell me if you have some good results! So I have been speedrunning this game for about a month, and I have gotten interested in the 1 Character only categories. I only have Super Mario All Stars to play the game on and was wondering if it was okay to do a one character only run on SNES since there is nothing about it in the rules. Just a question and thanks :)
