I had a hard time adding additional text to my post lol, so a few additional comments:
- The timer here is manual and I started it as soon as the first cutscene resolves, but I think we can just have the timer start as soon as you select the level so you don't have to worry.
- I did a "Part 2 All Guests" route, but it takes around 8 minutes to complete this since there are more guests and mini-games. There's no way to track the guests in the game, so it's something you'd have to do on your own which can be easy to miss.
- Same this with a "Full Game All Guests" route - since there's no way to track all the guests, it can be easy to miss in this 15 minute run.
I do think it's a good idea to have an All Guests category for Part 2 and Full Game, but since these are much longer than Part 1 and both Any% routes, the 3 mini-games you have to play constantly cycle through and get pretty redundant in the longer categories.
Would love to hear anyone elses thoughts and ideas!
Hello there! I noticed this game doesn't have any categories. I think the game is mega cute and charming and would be a neat speedgame! Here's my list of ideas with accompanying videos:
Part 1 Any% - Beat this level as fast as possible.
Part 2 Any% - Beat this level as fast as possible.
Full Game Any% - Beat both Parts 1 and 2 as fast as possible.
Part 1 All Guests - Beat this level as fast as possible while impressing every guest in the house.
"idk why yall are being so confrontational"
just from the twitter thread alone, some of us saw that and were civil with you, then you proceeded to insult an entire speedrun community by calling their speedgame "terrible". you can't be confrontational yourself, then get confused why some members are being a little critical. the conversation here isn't even confrontational. we are just affirming that we don't think this is a good suggestion.
i believe the opinion of two people who have extensive experience modding recent RE titles [and no, not just RE7] are very valid. console/pc, it shouldn't matter. it's the community who's expressing valid concerns.
and yes, as a pc runner, a no intro category is not a good idea due to everything ZGL eloquently expressed above.
