I just noticed Axel has wr for console but is running on an older, easier patch of the game which cannot be used anymore. I however, are using a newer patch that does not include bleed from level 2 claw attack, increased boss health, and faster ultimates from bosses. Shouldnt there be seperate categories/leaderboards for this scenario?

It was the same thing for Thymesia on PC, I don't think there is enough runs on consoles (even on pc) to create a new category for this reason. I know your pain I had the same issue when I started running, just do the best run you can do on the Second Patch !

Downpatching on PC is easy, but downpatching on console is basically not possible because it requires you to have a jailbroken console (google can tell you what "jailbroken console" means). I don't think these scenarios can be compared, the console leaderboards should probably get split since it's theoretically possible that the old WR is unbeatable due to the patch differences, even though the category is really inactive.
