(PC) Autosplitter Setup/In-Depth Tutorial

[OBSOLETE] [PC Only] Launching The Game From The .ExE File To Reduce Steam Lag

1. Open the following folder in file explorer:
\Steam\steamapps\common\SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated

2. In that folder there should be a file that reads "Spongebob_BFBB_R"

3. Open this file

You have now successfully launched the game without using Steam. You will have access to **NONE** of Steam's features doing this. (I.E: **Steam's built in fps counter**, Playtime, Screenshots, Steam overlay) however doing this will give your system less lag and better performance without changing the games graphical settings.

How to Setup the Autosplitter for PC

In case you don't know where to look, this guide will show you how to setup the autosplitter for PC.  
You will use this to remove the loads and get an accurate time.  

I:
You will need Livesplit. The application is available here: https://livesplit.org/  

II:  
When you have it installed and opened, you should see a window that looks like this. Right-Click it and click "Edit Splits".

III:  
Enter the Game Title as  "Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated".
If the Autosplitter doesn't show up, see if the Game Title field will auto-fill. If the name is incorrect, the autosplitter will not show up.

Click activate and the timer will automatically remove every load as well as Start and Stop the timer.

V:  
Additional Info allows you to easily identify what specific category each of your splits belong to. Do this in the case you want them to work with SRC API or if you run multiple categories.

VI:  
When you run your splits, make sure they are set to compare to GAME-TIME. The timer is set to run in Real-Time by default.

it's for 1.03 and 1.04 because 1.04 is most recent and it's not much different from 1.03

Quickest for console

The quickest way so far that I’ve found how to finish the game on console, is as soon as you load in and skip the dialogue with Gary, you must do the boat skip glitch first - which btw allows you to skip from spongebobs house to the boss fight with robot spongebob. (To do it you need to open up the map menu and hover over the grey spatula of spongebobs house, then pressing the options button and a/x at the same time you should hear the boat noise but be sent back to you standing in front of Gary. Then you need to open up the menu, this time clicking on the spatula, until you see the taxi come up. You want to now do the same input again, pressing the options button and a/x at the same time which will then send you back to standing in spongebobs house. Finally open up the menu again but go over to the chumbucket and hover over the first mission, which you can then press the input again, options, a/x. This should teleport you to the first boss fight which will allow you to unlock all abilities. If your doing this on pc, you will have to complete this boss fight before moving to the next step however, if you are console, you may do the exact same glitch we have just done but this time, finishing on the second chum bucket spatula, not the first making it so you teleport to the final stage. Once in here, you will see a bounce pad which you will have to jump onto the side of it - not onto it - so it dosent fly you to the next area, but actually just let’s you stand on it. Then you will have to leap forwards twice, with a spin and land on the platform far below you. As you land, ignore all enemies and run over to the edge of the slope where you can use the cruise missle to hit the electric charge. When it’s destroyed you will either die, get knocked off or if neither of those happen, you will have to jump off yourself to teleport to the next jump pad. This bit is tricky and so far I can’t seem to do it so may need some help, as you will jump onto this one and actually use it unlike the previous one, but in videos I have seen, you can use the cruise missle as you land on it so as your flying you can guide it to hit the electric charge. I can’t seem to do that just yet as I’m still figuring it out but you can easily just go over and kill the enemies and destroy the charge as normal. When that charge is destroyed, take the jump pad that leads up to the top three charges and as soon as you land walk forward towards the flying plankton and do a spin to get rid of him. Then immediately use a cruise missle to destroy the first of 3 charges inside. Before you use the next jump pad however, go the very edge of the platform your standing on, to the left of the jump pad, and look down. You should see a charge further down which you can then destroy with a missile. After, take the pad and spin into the plankton again before using a cruise and destroying the 2nd charge of 3. Finally use the jump pad and spin into plankton, then you can get the 3rd charge. To finish this run off, you will need to do a full opposite turn, go to the edge of the platform again and look down to see the last and finale charge which you can throw a missile at to finish your game.
