i cannot get the in game timer to work with mods it does work without mods but with the annoying spinning camera camera issues and the default auto reset its really annoying to do runs does anyone have any advice on how to fix this. I have tried to get the disk version working but it wont launch i don't know if im missing something there or not.
I'm pretty sure the "spinning camera issue" is only happening on the Disc version, which is fixed by input mod/xinput fix. So if you get this issue on Steam, that means you've been using some mods, such as "BetterSadx" (which is banned btw, because it completely modifies the game files by installing another version of the game. This is also why your IGT doesn't work.)
As for the disc version, if you have some issues to start the game, that can happens. I've got a similiar issue and it's kinda weird. The best solution I found is, first, uninstalling and reinstalling the game without installing anything else (this includes sadx mod manager or any mod.) Then just start the game with the autorun. If the game starts, try to install Sadx mod manager and see what happens. If the game doesn't start after that, that usally means you need to change some graphic options with Sadx Mod Manager. Sometimes that's a fullscreen or window issue, that could also be a resolution issue, so you need to try different settings and see what works for you.
Any other issue, let me know.
is the disk version just using the exe in the steam folder? or am i missing something here it isn't really explained in the resources page.
The EXEs are not the same. You likely downloaded the incorrect IGT timer, as there's one for PC Disc, and one for Steam.
As for the camera bug, you need the Input Mod in order to fix this. It wouldn't be spinning on the Steam version because of the fact that not only was the Steam port built for Xbox controllers, but it was a port of the 360 version. If the mod loader doesn't have an Input Mod, its going to have the camera spin.
Also, you probably already have this since the game doesn't work without it, but make sure you download the US .exe of the game for confirmation.
ill clarify i can get it to work but i have always had camera and input issues with the base steam version tbh its probably a problem cause by steam and ds4. im confused y that last sentence also
Don't use ps4 controllers on older games, use a ps3 controller emulated as a 360 controller (or better just a 360 controller)
PC disc is a completely different version than the Steam version. Like Flandre said, the exe in the ressources is the US region of the Disc version, which is needed if you want to use Sadx mod manager. That being said, If you don't have the disc version, you don't need it. In fact, if you are using Steam version you don't need any mod or any other .exe file. You should be able to run the game without any changes and play it normally.
So, you said you have the "base Steam version", I'm not sure if I follow you tbh. Are you really sure you didn't install/modify anything? You were talking about mods, make sure everything is uninstalled correctly. (I think you can uninstall and reinstall the game it'll be faster.)
Also If by ds4 you mean ps4 controller that should work on steam version without any camera issue.
If you're using a DS4 controller, there's always DS4Windows which allows you to emulate a XInput controller. You can always try that.
Hi all, just an update on the console boards...
XBLA and PSN have been separated into different sub-categories. While this may stifle competition in the console boards overall, it should make things more fair.
I have manually retimed all of the XBLA runs above a certain time threshold without cuts
