Hi all, just an update on the console boards...
XBLA and PSN have been separated into different sub-categories. While this may stifle competition in the console boards overall, it should make things more fair.
I have manually retimed all of the XBLA runs above a certain time threshold without cutscenes or loads, using a similar method to Sonic 06's retiming. This is because the cutscenes introduce lag depending on what version of XBOX you are playing, and in some cases runners were losing up to a minute just because they were playing on a phat XBOX 360 instead of a Series console.
Retiming the XBLA version is very easy due to a helpful "Now Loading" screen, but the PSN and GC versions do not have this. It is proving very difficult and inconsistent to retime the PSN/GC versions using the SA1 video autosplitter, so they will remain timed by RTA.
In general, the portions I am removing are when the "Now Loading" screen appears and when the game is very clearly in a cutscene. I hope to have a document ready on how this is all going to work but real life is very busy right now!
For now, XBLA All Stories and 130 Emblem will be timed by RTA as there doesn't seem to be much competition in these categories.
