He brings a lot of gaming experience & he'll certainly provide plenty of competition on the Gen & 32X versions. Welcome, @RaGeNyC!
There were a handful of Switch runs submitted about a month ago. I hope there will be more in the near future!
Let's propose these tracks to the mods. I'm sure they would be all for creating them.
A lot has changed since this thread was first created.
Kega Fusion and Retroarch are now permitted (so long as you show the run-ahead option is Off in Retroarch).
Also, WolfMAME is permitted for Arcade emulation.
Re: permissible emulators, I believe it's at the moderator's / moderators' discretion.
I'll make my attempts via the EverDrive cart (I have the Mega x3). I cannot screen capture, unfortunately, so I'll have to record & let you be the judge. Thanks!
Hello!
Thanks for creating this track. I rediscovered this game recently & was playing for scores when I searched Speedrun out of curiosity.
I have a few questions regarding this track:
1 - Are any emulators allowed? I'm on a Mac using OpenEmu (which uses the Genesis Plus core).
2 - Are Everdrive carts allowed?
Thanks for your reply! I'll check out Bizhawk.
Hello! I hope you can help me out.
When I tried to install Fusion, it opened up OpenEmu for my Mac. I'm guessing they use the same core? I really don't know. So is OpenEmu not allowed?
This is a tremendous feat. Clay beat the previous mark by .02 seconds! Congratulations!
I apologize for the delayed reply. I will post it on the site later today along with the start/stop times I got from using Avidemux. Please share any other suggestions as you see fit. Thanks!
Thanks, Twan_Jones! That's good to know. I'll look it up and check it out.
Thanks for your reply, Timmiluvs!
I recorded my run using Quicktime so it's a .mov file. Also, I took a screenshot of the start & end points of the run using Avidemux. Would that be sufficient?
Hello! I’m very new to speedrunning and I’m hoping I can receive help/guidance here.
I recorded my play on Archon for the VICE emulator (C64) for Mac. I tried Llanfair as a timer but couldn’t get it to work. After I made several runs, I went back and watched my recording on Avidemux, going frame by frame to capture the start and end times of my run in accordance with the Speedrun rules. It turns out that my run was 57:28. However, I need help with using a timer or stopwatch to demonstrate that I ran said time.
Again, any help/guidance for a rookie is appreciated. Thanks!
I'm fairly new to this site & I'm hoping to get some help. I played Archon on the VICE emulator for C64 for Mac OS X and I ran a sub :58 run. However. I don't have any timers that really work so it's just the video. I checked my run using Avidemux and figured out that my run was 57.284 seconds. Is there a way to add a timer to a recorded video? Any help/guidance will be appreciated. Thanks!
Please feel free to link my profile to that score. Thanks!
