i noticed while fighting bald bull 1, his rolling jab animation was slower than the ones he threw in the speedruns and tasses i saw. his hooks were slower too. is it something wrong with my settings or the rom i downloaded?

i downloaded the rom off redtoms page, no video filter, region set to ntsc ( im also in the us so its not that im on pal or smth ), console type selected: nes, controller preference: keyboard (wasd), scale: 4.10, aspect ratio: NTSC 8:7, (enable intergrater fps mode, vsync, exclusive fullscreen mode, use intergrater scale values when entering fullscreen) ALL OFF,

(use HDNes HD packs, show fps) ON, pretty much every other setting is default, idk if any of that info is even useful, might as well put it though

If there are any gameplay differences in the rom, it is probably not acceptable. If you can remove these differences, it should be okay.

well, where should i get the rom from? is there a more accurate one?

I dont know much about Roms so unfortunately i can't help you here. It would probably be safer to get it on console. If you have a Nintendo switch you can pay for the online features and get unlimited access to the NES games on there. MTPO runs very well there. If you would prefer a rom, I suppose you could ask on Discord or experiment with other roms to find the one you want.

You can also check the rules to see which platforms are accepted if that helps.
