How To Get A 42 Second KO On Glass Joe

Struggling to beat the first boxer of the game quickly, or want to improve speed run times? Well if you have ever noticed, he doesn't attack you for the first 38 seconds of the fight. After that he will back up, and come in to deliver a punch 4 seconds later. If you land a stomach punch right at the time before he starts his punching animation, he will fall backwards and (most of the time) you will get a KO. Here's my tutorial on how to do it, along with a video of it and some troubleshooting.

The Technique:

As you enter the fight, start with spamming a face punch, and after it hits him twice, do a standard punch. It will be blocked but it will allow you to perform two more face punches before you have to do another standard punch. This will lower his health enough to be knocked out by the 42 second punch. 

When at the 38 mark when he backs up, wait patiently until he comes back in and as the clock hits 41, deliver a mid level punch. If timed correctly, this will usually result in a KO.

Troubleshooting: 

If you are struggling on this then try these 3 steps:

Step 1: When I said to punch right as the clock hits 41, I was factoring in human reaction time. If your punch is not resulting in a KO but still hitting him, then try to time your punch just barely before the clock hits 42.

Step 2: If you are having the opposite problem and your punch isn't even hitting him, time it earlier, aim for the 40 second mark.

Step 3: After this if you still can't get it, just keep trying, after only about an hour of practice with this I'm hitting it 9/10 times, so just keep at it :D.
