- Install DepotDownloader from Github.
- Create a folder on your desktop, name it DepotDownloader.
- On the folder's navigation path, where it says, "This PC > Desktop > DepotDownloader," write in "powershell" or "cmd" to pop-up the respective programs.
For Powershell, paste, ".\DepotDownloader.exe -app 1420290 -depot 1420291 -manifest 6234618802610409231 -username [STEAM USERNAME] -password [STEAM PASSWORD]" For Command Prompt (cmd), paste, "DepotDownloader.exe -app 1420290 -depot 1420291 -manifest 6234618802610409231 -username [STEAM USERNAME] -password [STEAM PASSWORD]"

After hitting enter, Steam Guard will request an Approval and you will accept it. After the code runs its course, check the DepotDownloader folder and you'll notice the "depots" folder. Click it, then "1420291," which is the app name for NMH, and then following folder.

Here is the original upload for NMH back when it released on Steam on June 9th, which is useful for the run as it does not crash when skipping the leader board screen between Holly - Speedbuster, matching it on pace with the Switch version of the game.

Copy all the contents from this folder and paste them into your No More Heroes steam folder. This could easily be found by going on Steam, right clicking on No More Heroes, hover over "Manage" and click "Browse local files."

Done. You are now running a downgraded version of NMH and can run the game without worries.
Known Issues: The original upload for NMH did not have proper PS4 support, so you must use DS4Tool, which masks your PS4 controller as an XBOX360 controller. You will need to launch the application every time you play, as the game will not be playable otherwise. If you use an XBOX controller, this step is not necessary.
Why not upload the depot into Resources? Because it would be piracy. The reason why DepotDownloader asks your Steam username/password is to ensure you own the product you are downgrading.
