I have compiled statistics on the loot from March and Assurance.
Belgium

Hello everyone, I relied on the Lethal Company fandom page to try and find the best moon for a speed run. I focused solely on March and Assurance since (in my opinion) they are the only two that can be competitive in terms of speedrunning. I categorized items into two groups: "items you want to see" during your run and the others. When you find an item:

  • On Assurance: It will be present in "37.74%" of cases, an item you desire weighing an average of "8.78 lb" and costing "50.33."
  • On March: It will be present in "31.77%" of cases, an item you desire weighing an average of "7 lb" (13 when counting the ingot in the average) and costing "48.54" (57.5 when counting the ingot in the average).

As for undesired items (logically more numerous), on March, they resell for a higher average price but are heavier than on Assurance. It's important to note that this is compounded by the fact that March is a planet twice as large (in terms of interior space), so there is more than twice the distance to cover to find an item, making it more than two times less suitable for speed runs than Assurance.

Categories were chosen based on the item's price and ease of transport (this is subjective, thank you for not holding it against me).

In conclusion, it is much easier to achieve a good time on Assurance, but March offers the possibility of looting a gold ingot, which is rare but allows you to meet the quota 1 with only two/three items.

I'm providing a link to the Excel used for calculations and leaving it to you to draw whatever conclusions you'd like: Lethal Compagny loot stats.xlsx.

New categories and recent changes

Hi everyone!

Theres been plenty of changes on the leaderboards recently! Firstly, we've recently added the Ironman challenge as a speedrun category to the main leaderboards! There's two different variants of this challenge. In Classic Ironman you land on each moon only once, while in *Hardcor
