We haven't yet figured out what to do with guest stars. There are 2 options:
- Make it a full category with the character as a variable
- Use the level leaderboards for each chracter
Arguements for both:
Category with variables:
You can't expect people to have competition with all 30+ characters. A lot of the characters play the same if you're using the fastest strats. Most people would just play the fastest character anyways.
IL:
The Level layouts are different depending on the character. The bosses and fights will be different. They're all saved separately in game. KTD and KFD have each ability for kirby fighters ils seperate as well.
I'm on the board on having it as a variable (We could always go to cyberscore for other characters)
I vote for category with variables, if that counts for anything.
ah ok thanks, well when you put it that way im not really sure which would be better...
as much as i want the second option though i think the first option would be a little more logical
@Primal-Spire I agree with the logistics of option one, I mean, let the speedrunners sort out which character's layout is the fastest, in my opinion.
Option One seems fine for now as that is a lot more straight forward. But if the category gets popular, we could make ILs for each character in addition to the main leaderboard?
Option 1, assuming we can still submit worse times with other characters just for the fun of trying something else.
Option 1, it would keep the leaderboards more organised and would let the IL spots to be used for something else.
It has a built in timer so no need for shaky uncomfortably vidcams or expensive capturecards, just a screenshot of the end game timer. HOWEVER, You can stop and restart the run at any time so it is Time-attack and there is no way to prove you did it in a single session.
Choice 1. The ILs should be for the levels in story mode or ultimate choice level 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7
While option 2 would be neater for having switched boss order and all, option 1 seems more logical and leaves the open IL slots for more purposeful use. I vote option 1.
Different for each char for sure, you cant compare a character getting 1.15 to another char getting sub 1h.
