Funny enough I actually did a run of the full game in one segment. It took 3 hours. Maybe if we have more it will be added?
On the first load alone the PS3 Emu time gets into game around 17 seconds. Both Secondplace and Shiva's runs take around 25. It's incredibly likely Emu is saving a massive amount of time through the whole game and would be playing at a significant advantage.
PS3 and 360 emulation is more manageable than it used to be but there is a clear advantage through non official means.
Usually for something like this a separate board gets made since anything beyond PS2 emu is not accurate to original hardware load times.
I think in NG you end up getting Lolli-Copter after this skip funny enough, would work on NG+
I can definitely add Steven to the mod and am fine with the changes. It's been a busy few months and I'll be around to verify runs on the backlog
Yeah the game will do that, it's why in most runs you'll see the runner just running past the enemies and stopping in the lights if too many swarm them
The newest version is probably fine. I'd recommend Bizhawk however
So Fran Bow randomly got an update and runners who have mastered Legacy tricks requested the versions be split since the new version is much faster but removes a lot of the speedtech of the older version making them quite different. I have split the boards and will have the default one be Legacy for now unless Unity gets more runners since it makes sense to showcase the run people like doing more
Only one way to find out, admittedly I didn't know Overblood had a PSN port
So I was playing this game casually and managed to clip into a staircase. I think the games path detection messed up when I tried climbing and it corrected me into a spot that allowed me to run through it.
I don't know if it'd be useful in the spot I found it but other game staircases may be if it could be replicated.

I think we can leave it with Any% and Any% Memory Corruption and I do like the idea of a tab for translation type.
So it would be JPN(Any% Memory and Any%) as the main category And English(Any% Memory and Any%) With Gaijin/2016 as variables instead of entirely separate categories if there isn't a huge difference.
If there is strong interest in Glitchless exclusive we can make that separate but I don't believe a Dynamo time actually beat the Glitchless WR.
So with the new trick traditional RPG enjoyers are definitely being left behind if they want to compete since the new style of run entirely breaks it.
Countdown already mentioned the idea of splitting with the new route and the old route with Dynamo. I'm not opposed to the idea but it may make more sense to have entirely glitchless vs glitched, but I would like to hear more on this.
As well I'm not sure how exactly to separate on different versions. The smartest I'd guess is combine the unofficial english ones and keep JPN on its own end?
It was brought to my attention that some players may be experiencing varying load times upon booting the game. To help make competition more fair for runners time will start upon first input which is the text at the start saying "Hi Sarah! We're so glad you could come on such short notice!"
Upon looking at the existing runs there already exists a slight difference so this should help
So I found a skip by mashing the confirm button. It allows you to INSTANTLY solve the Lights Out book puzzle to get the tree key and likely saves about 30 seconds over actually doing it.

So I ran a game recently called AMY, it's apparently a dead board since neither mod has been active in sometime. One has no contact info and the other seemed to ignore my message. Can I possibly get mod for this so I can verify both my own run and any potential runs in limbo? I moderate plenty of games already so it shouldn't be too difficult to pick up this mostly empty one @Daravae
So PC is optimal for the standard Any% but realistically you can do No Major Glitches with any platform
I'm very glad it worked!
I just replayed the remake today and yeah that's the spot I believe. It was like a roundish lakeside? I'm not sure how consistent it'd be but it'd save a TON of time
So looking at the game as a whole it's pretty lengthy and the endgame levels are kind of insane. As a category I think a Hub 1 which ends the run on the first boss would make for an excellent category! I've done some test runs of this so far on PS2 and it's looking to be about a 25 minute run.
For clarity this begins on New Game selection and hits time at the end of the Benny Boss
