Extra Options makes modifications to the game which can be described as abnormal game behaviour, while Widescreen Fix is used specifically to make the game use modern resolutions and to also fix the game sometimes not working on Win10/11
you can literally see what car they're using in the video though lol
That feels slightly redundant especially considering the limited base of runners and interest.
This is occuring due to something in the game known as a timebug. This can occur at any framerate. You can use Rivatuner to cap the game, as that is the program used by the majority of runners to cap their game. Timebug is also present on the console versions and is unfortunately an ever-present inescapable cosmic horror. :/
Not sure how we missed this, apologies for that, but as Ni said, without some sort of custom route this would be very hard to properly track and enforce. We may potentially add a category extensions board where such custom tracks can be tracked, if there is enough interest.
You cannot, it must be done from the career.
apologies for resubmitting, spotted I had set it to the wrong platform.
Upload the video to YouTube or a different publicly accessible video hosting platform. Pretty sure neither one of us owns the game on console.
I do not understand the absolute obsession with the Nuzlocke challenge, at all.
It would have to be added by us, that being the moderators. Currently, we do not track online only races, but we will consider adding them post-Volume 9.
considering the original poster has not logged in over a year, I doubt you'd be getting a response.
No. Your No Modswap run will reallocated to No Modswap if you submit it to Modswap.
It can be inconclusive, as various games (such as most of the NFS games) are capped at 30fps on console, regardless of whether or not it's PAL/NTSC, so I don't think it'd be doing much of a difference in this instance. However, should you feel that this is indeed something you think could be a likely factor, feel free to reach out to me on Discord in the Need for Speedruns server and I'll pass you over my savegame that's for the NTSC release.
Well, if you're doing a full game speedrun, a timer would be very much appreciated, it's quite easy to setup if you just check a guide on YouTube. If it's just hot laps on a track, no additional timer is needed.
Probably that you haven't properly setup your controls in the controller setup page. Look up a tutorial on how to do that, if you need it.
Using emulators on mobile, such as AetherSX2 for example, is not allowed however.
Go for the Wii, in my opinion.
@ArHrrtzmnn_911 Welcome back, shame you missed the Porsche HoTW
