I was tired and forgot to finish hitting submit on the video lol sorry
Have you managed to replicate this? Huge find!
I don't think it's possible for their to be an official German translation of the Art of War, given that at the time it was written the Chinese and Germans didn't even know each other existed.
That aside, so far for runs I've personally done of things that are originally in ancient languages, I make sure to specifically mention who did the translation of the version I'm reading mostly just for future reference's sake, but as of right now you're allowed to read non-author approved translations.
This does bring up an interesting question though of whether to require the 'official' translated version of a book if there is one available.
RTA makes sense actually, I just didn't even think about the fact that the in game timer isn't running at actually real time.
Since the in game timer only runs in discrete seconds, it really isn't good for telling you whether you improved just a little on a level until you get a full second or more off.
It might make sense to list both, since each individual level is very short it wouldn't be that difficult to retime RTA on a submission that estimates that RTA while filling out the stated IGT.
The question then becomes, which frames are to be regarded as the IL start/stop frames?
As a point of further information the categories we're going to be working on are the following:
-All the categories listed under "Language Learning" (11 Total)
-All the categories listed under "Chinese" (3 Total)
-All the categories listed under "Japanese" (3 Total)
-All the categories listed under "English" (5 Total)
That means a whopping 22 categories to sink your teeth in to!
And to be extra clear: the challenge will be running from today the 31st to this coming Monday the 2nd.
Hello everyone!
I come to you representing the Freerice speedrunning community, these next few days (Saturday to Monday) we're going to be doing a community challenge themed around "Languages of the world"
To wit the goal is to try and answer 100 questions in every language related category on Freerice as quickly as possible, with the winner being the person with the fastest sum of best across all categories.
For those of you unfamiliar with Freerice, it is a charity program that donates rice to hungry people while providing an excellent platform for studying a variety of things, as a community we have donated over 600,000 grains of rice, that's a lot of food!
If you wish to participate we would love to have you! Just join us in the discord and let's have some fun!

Still huge even if it's just half the sectors, but I bet there's some way to do all of them.
Is this not it? https://www.speedrun.com/Intravenous_2_Mercenarism
Sorry about that btw. I misunderstood the rules, thought that the whole game ones had just been put in individual level category on accident.
I agree this one would be good to have on the board.
All you've gotta do is record a run, then just post it up in the discord and one of the mods will likely make a category for it. (Make sure it's a good run of course!)
