I believe I have discovered a glitch that could save some time in all levels.

Typically, the player would need to mash their mouse to start coloring the map as early as possible. I have discovered a way to gauruntee the player can color at the earliest possible moment, with no mashing required. I call this the "Autofire" glitch.

How to perform:

Enter a map. Once it has loaded, equip the paintbrush, hold the left mouse button, pause, wait a bit, let go of the left mouse button, wait a bit again, and unpause. You should now be able to color parts without clicking the mouse.

Edit: this can also be done using the "Return to menu" button, thanks zir0nic

Now, complete whatever map you did that in, avoid clicking until it is finished.

You can click in the game's menu all you want.

When you enter another level, you'll be coloring automatically (assuming the game didn't randomly kill you after the map unloaded, which happens sometimes - if that happens I'd suggest trying this on a smaller map).

I believe this will help save time by allowing players to start coloring as soon as they enter the level, before the UI even disappears.

i gave up on trying to beat the record for today, so have this cool skip i found

it's REALLY hard to pull off (and im pretty sure it requires 2 or more frame perfect walljumps) but it can turn a bad run into something awesome

The individual level runs in this game require a LOT of practice and consistency... so I figured why not test player consistency with an "Average of _" cateogory?

Basically, beat a level in Normal Mode however many times in a row (without resetting a run) and the average time between those runs is the final time.

So like if you got times of 1.86, 1.88, and 2.14, your final time would be 1.96.

My suggestion would be to have averages of 3 and 10, with 10 obviously being much harder, so in Normal Mode it would be like [Beat The Level] [Average of 3] [Average of 10]

Also this (obviously) would only apply to Normal Mode runs in ILs (and maybe death runs but thats a big maybe), working solely off of IGT.

Maybe (definitely) a stupid idea but it would be kinda cool I think :3

I'm confused by the timer rule, does it mean the level timer needs to be visible in every level or does it mean you need to have livesplit open at all times?

If it's livesplit, i dont think that rule's necessary at all - it's much easier and faster to use a frame timer like this https://retime.mcbe.wtf

The easy mode category in its current state is more based on RNG and how fast you can mash you mouse rather than your skill at the game. I'm considering making a No-Miss category for Easy mode (and moving all qualified runs to it), but I need to ask any other players if they think that's a good idea. So, should I do that?

There's nothing that can be proven or disproven from a lack of game audio, plus a lot of recording softwares don't record audio in the first place. Me personally, I can't stand the game's soundtrack so I play with it muted anyways, I don't understand why I should be punished for that.
