detailed any% run guide (english version)

The run seems faster with the Japanese version of the game: to have a lair in the inventory objects (which are therefore in Japanese), i indicated at what position they are in the inventory order (e.g. : the gear is in position 2 in the inventory = 2p.). I also indicated the number of dialogues to be discussed in each talk before being able to leave it (eg: we talk to Jessica 4 topics at the beginning = 4d.).

There may be errors on certain things (let me know if this is the case, and the guide may evolve if we find some shortcuts in the run). A few small things have already been found on the route to take (non-essential objects, avoidable monologues or obligatory things to do to finish the run for example).

The timer must start when *New Game* (or the Japanese equivalent) is clicked.

Chapter 1 :

- speak with Jessica (4d.) then with the captain (3d.)
- go to the bridge - you can avoid a monologue by turning wide around the tree
- turn the handle and pass through the bridge ; go north and take the right path
- take the right path again (do not approach the rocks, it will trigger an Ashley monologue)
- move the grave (click and the wall then drag the grave towards the wall) and speak with D (3d.) ; then go north
- take the gear in the red box ; go back to the portal and use the gear (2p.)
- press the 5th button then press the 3rd
- examine both hands (otherwise Ashley won't want to take the sphere)
- go in the little cabin on the left : take the document in the briefcase, the DAS card and take the iron sphere
- speak with D (3d.) and throw the sphere in the second hand (4p.)
- answers of the memories test : 3 - 1 - 3 -2

Chapter 2 :

- go north ; cancel D dialogues and go in the entry hall
- the door code is 1128 for the english version or 4851 for the japanese version
- go directly towards the portrait then go to the music room (top left door) : click on the white books (on the library)
- go to the butler's room (top right door) : click on the library (take the white book) and click on the white notebook
- take the DAS card
- go upstairs and open the third cabinet : resolve the puzzle

- go back to the hall : use the silver medal on the statue (4p.)
- go to the door on the right (4p.) : take the white book in the library
- go upstairs and take the key in the glass (in the cabinet)
- go to the door on the left : use the 2 keys (4p. and 5p.) and combine them
- take the white book in the library and go back to the music room
- rearrange the books (the letters are HENRYTHOMAS)

Chapter 3 :
(DON'T GO TO FRANNY'S ROOM : you can finish the game without entering it)

- go to the door on the right : take the DAS card, examine the 2 drawings and leave
- go to Henry's room (the door at the top left)
- examine the frame quickly and click at the right of the library
- click on the F3 shelf and examine the large black book, take the key
- go to the parents' room (the door at the bottom left)
- DON'T examine the bottle (hammer skip)
- examine the dolls, go back in the start corridor, in the bottom right door
- take the drummer doll (desk), go back in the parents' room, use the doll and the key on the music box (6p. and 5p.)
- turn the crank : turn on the flute, trumpet and drum switches
- go back in Henry's room, enter in the secret room
- take the matches in the box, click on the draped box : take the baseball
- use the ball (6p.) on the box in height : launch the ball to bring it down
- go back in the corridor : use the matches (5p.) on the candles

Chapter 4 :

- read the newspaper on the left
- go to the door in the right

- speak with Bill (4d.) and follow him
- go in the kitchen on the left, examine the rope on the door
- take the knife in the oven and cut the rope (6p.)
- speak with Jessica (4d.) and examine the painting, blow into the microphone to remove dust
- go back in the corridor and examine the other painting, otherwise Ashley wouldn't type the code on the door
- go to the door in the right : the code is 2369

Chapter 5 :

- go to the door in the right and examine the zoetrope
- go back in the art room and take the roll of paper 
-> use the paper (6p.) on the zoetrope and as soon as you see the whole picture you can stop looking in it
- examine the picture of the tree and click on the flowers in this order : up right - up middle - up left - bottom middle - bottom left
- wake up Ashley's father and speak to him (4d.) -> follow him
- door code : 5819831220
- go to the desk : click on the parents' photo then on Sayoko
- then click on the yellow folder in the computer
- return back and click on the teddy bear, take the DAS card, and click on all the people in the photo
- take the paper at the left of the room
- go to the end of the room -> code : ASH853LEY SAY919OKO
- talk to the father (2d.) and go to the exit
- answers to D : 2 - 3 - 2 -> return to the machine
- use the white card (6d. twice) then the red card
- answers of the memories test : 2 - 3

Chapter 6 :

- go down the stairs and go through the cave (there is a lot of dialogue)
- talk to Bill (4d.) -> answers : 2 - 2 - 3 - 1 - 1 - 2
- go to the exit

End :

- speak with the captain then speak with Jessica and the father
- go to the left of the beach and speak with D
- go back to speak again blah blah blah
- The timer stops when the screen fades black.

guide détaillé de la run any% (french version)

La run semble plus rapide avec la version japonaise du jeu : pour avoir un repaire dans les objets de l'inventaire (qui sont donc en japonais), j'ai indiqué à quelle position ils sont dans l'ordre de l'inventaire (ex. : l'engrenage est en position 2 dans l'inventaire = 2p.). J'ai aussi indiqué le nombre de sujets à aborder sur chaque dialogue avant de pouvoir le quitter (ex : on parle de 4 sujets à Jessica au début = 4d.).

Il y a peut-être des erreurs sur certains trucs (prévenez moi si c'est le cas, et le guide risque d'évoluer si on trouve quelques raccourcis dans la run). Quelques petites choses on déjà été trouvées sur la route à prendre (des objets non essentiels, des monologues évitables ou les choses obligatoires à faire pour avancer par exemple).

Le chronomètre doit démarrer au moment du clic sur *Nouvelle partie* (ou l'équivalent en japonais).

Chapitre 1 :

- parler à Jessica (4d.) puis avec le capitaine (3d.)
- aller au pont - on peut éviter un monologue d'Ashley en s'éloignant de l'arbre (avec un virage large)
- tourner la manivelle et traverser le pont ; aller au Nord et prendre le chemin de droite
- prendre encore le chemin de droite (ne pas s'approcher des rochers, ça va lancer un monologue d'Ashley)
- déplacer la tombe (il faut d'abord cliquer sur le mur puis sur la tombe pour démarrer le déplacement de la tombe) et parler à D (3d.) ; aller au Nord
- prendre l'engrenage dans la boite rouge ; retourner au portail et utiliser l'engrenage (2p.)
- appuyer sur le cinquième bouton puis sur le troisième
- examiner les deux mains (sinon Ashley ne voudra pas prendre la boule en fer ensuite)
- aller dans la petite dépendance à gauche : prendre le document dans le dossier, la cartouche DAS, et la boule en fer dans la caisse
- parler à D (3d.) et lancer la boule dans le main de droite (4p.)
- réponses du test de mémoire : 3 - 1 - 3 - 2

Chapitre 2 :

- aller au Nord ; sortir directement du dialogue de D et aller au hall d'entrée
- Le code de la porte est 1128 pour la version anglaise et 4851 pour la version japonaise
- aller vers le portrait au fond du couloir et aller à la 'music room' en haut à gauche : cliquer sur les livres blancs dans la bibliothèque
- aller dans la chambre du valet (en haut à droite) : prendre le livre blanc dans la bibliothèque et cliquer sur le cahier sur le bureau
- prendre la cartouche DAS
- monter les escaliers et ouvrir la troisième armoire : résoudre le puzzle

RESOLUTION DU PUZZLE :
(le puzzle est aléatoire donc il faut maitriser la technique, ça peut être un run-killer si on met trop de temps dessus, même si ça reste pas mal basé sur la chance)

Le puzzle change si on fait retour et qu'on reviens dessus, ce qui peut être utile si la configuration générée est pas évidente.

- monter les escaliers et prendre la clé dans le verre (dans l'armoire)
- prendre la porte de gauche : utiliser et combiner les deux clés (4p. et 5p.)
- entrer ; prendre le livre blanc dans la bilbliothèque puis retourner dans la 'music room'

Chapitre 3 :
(ne pas aller dans le chambre de Franny, on peut finir le jeu sans)

- prendre la porte de droite : prendre la cartouche DAS, examiner les deux dessins et quitter la pièce
- aller dans la chambre de Henry (en haut à gauche)
- examiner le cadre rapidement et cliquer dans la partie droite de la bibliothèque
- cliquer sur l'étagère F3 et examiner le gros livre noir, prendre la clé
- aller dans la chambre des parents (en bas à gauche)
- ne pas examiner la bouteille (skip du marteau)
- examiner les statuettes, retourner dans le couloir de départ, dans la pièce en bas à droite
- prendre la statuette au tambour (sur le bureau), aller dans la chambre des parents (en bas à gauche), utiliser la statuette et la clé sur la boite à musique (6p. et 5p.)
- tourner la manivelle : allumer les interrupteurs des statuettes avec la flute, la trompette, et le tambour
- aller dans le fond de la chambre de Henry, entrer dans la pièce secrète
- prendre les allumettes dans la boite à l'entrée, cliquer sur la boite recouverte d'un drap et prendre la balle
- cliquer sur la boite en hauteur puis utiliser la balle (6p.) : lancer la balle dessus ; prendre la chaussure
- retourner dans le couloir : utiliser les allumettes (5p.) sur les bougies

- retourner dans le couloir et examiner le tableau, sinon Ashley ne voudra pas ouvrir la porte

Chapitre 5 :

- prendre la porte de droite et examiner le zootrope
- retourner dans la salle d'art (en bas à droite dans le couloir d'avant) et prendre le rouleau de papier
-> utiliser le papier (5p.) sur le zootrope et arrêter de le tourner dès qu'on voit l'image entière
- examiner l'image de l'arbre et cliquer sur les fleurs dans cet ordre : en haut à droite - en haut au milieu - en haut à gauche - au milieu en bas - en bas à gauche
- réveiller le père d'Ashley et lui parler (4d.) -> le suivre
- le code de la porte (cliquer sur la fenêtre) : 5819831220
- prendre la feuille dans le dossier à gauche de la pièce
- aller devant le bureau : cliquer sur la photo des parents puis sur Sayoko
- cliquer sur le dossier jaune sur l'ordi
- retourner en arrière et cliquer sur l'ours en peluche, prendre la cartouche DAS, et cliquer sur chaque personne sur la photo
- aller au bout de la pièce -> code : ASH853LEY SAY919OKO
- parler au père (2d.) et partir
- réponses aux questions de D : 2 - 3 - 2 -> retourner à la machine
- utiliser la cartouche blanche (6d. deux fois) puis la cartouche rouge

Chapitre 6 :

- descendre les escaliers et traverser la cave (beaucoup de dialogues)
- parler à Bill (4d.) -> réponses : 2 - 2 - 3 - 1 - 1 - 2
- sortir de la cave

La fin :

- parler au capitaine puis à Jessica et au père
- aller à gauche de la plage et parler à D
- retourner et parler encore 
- Le chrono doit s'arrêter quand l'écran tourne au noir.
