It wasn't really received well when we first added the categories. Lots of lucio surf runners simply didn't want to submit their times here, since they already had an established leaderboard that they were comfortable with. If the majority of the active runners would like to move their leaderboards here, then we can work from there.
Thanks for bringing it up! We haven't re-timed it yet, but I'll do that today :)
Hi, so when I finish the game, with any ending, it doesn't take me to the main menu right away. When it ends, a screen appears that shows me what ending I unlocked. Then on the bottom it has an option to return to the main menu.
In the current runs, I don't see this ending screen, it just goes straight to main menu. How do I get it to skip the ending screen and go straight to the main menu after finishing?
Yea! The pro title appears when one completes the map with all heroes right?
We have a few parkour leaderboards here: https://www.speedrun.com/overwatch_category_extensions/individual_levels
Show us your full run of the Hanamura map and we'll add that code to the list.
The rules do not state that the bots need to be randomized, so yes, you can choose which bots are on your team and the enemy team, as long as there is only 1 of each hero on both teams.
Luckily there is a Real Time (Aided) category :)
Or just use this website: https://mattbraddock.com/yt-frame-timer/
Patch 1.39.1.0 - August 13, 2019
New Hero: Sigma (Tank)
- All Practice Range categories that needed to be reset were reset and now include him in the runs
General: Global ultimate cost increased 12%
- Tutorial 2.0 was moved to Misc and we now have Tutorial 3.0
- Due to Soldier's ult taking an extra ~2 seconds to fully charge
- And for optimal runs, he now needs to kill 11 bots instead of 9 bots (for ult)
Tutorial 3.0 was added on Aug 15, 2019 Practice Range categories now include Sigma since Aug 14, 2019
Both of these maps are from Gemster's Discord server. Check here: https://discord.gg/EyqkRgQ
Dorado (100% Run)
Route 66 (100% Run)
There are more maps, but I wanna see how they react to being on SRC.
As for rules, Gemster has made simple and easy rules to follow on his Discord that everyone who runs the maps agree on.
For these 2 maps, there are 2 subcategories: Any% and 100% Any% = Switch to the final hero after unlocking him/her 100% = Unlock all heroes (not including Torb) and all zones
Also, Gemster allows for 100% runs to be on Any% leaderboards if they happen to be faster.
Timing is done by IGT (top left) and they don't use milliseconds. Just minute:seconds.
Timer starts when spawning as first hero Timer ends upon unlocking final zone or hero
Hey since there are now level leaderboards, can we add this Hollywood Doomfist Parkour category? There are a few more maps for Doomfist Parkour too, just gotta make runs for em.
Here's my run for DF Parkour in Hollywood:
Doomfist Parkour Hollywood: PE5RC Version: 1.3 Creator: Blackbird / sluggishseal
Instant cooldowns on pass/fail Timer begins upon leaving home checkpoint Timer ends upon reaching final checkpoint
Description: You may only stand in the blue rings. The purple flag icon indicates your next destination. Reach all checkpoints to beat the map and display your best time.
To skip a stage: Interact + Jump To replay the previous stage: Interact + Crouch To restart from the beginning: Interact + Ultimate Ability
Skipping or replaying a stage will disable your timer until you restart at the beginning.
Alright I respect that, sorry for bugging.
And just to be clear, I only posted here because of these 2 rules from the Mod Rules: • Moderators should typically speedrun the game, or at a minimum be heavily involved with the community. • Leaderboards should aim to have at least 3 active moderators if qualified people are available.
And I figured the SRC mod rules are above individual game mods. But I was wrong. Thanks for clearing that up.
@Liv Yeah FearWolfz added me as a verifier to CE a few hours after I posted here. As for not asking them prior to posting here, I have proof of asking them. So I would consider that a lie? The first time I asked, gamebrain just told FearWolfz to take care of it (because gamebrain is always busy with other priorities, which is normal). After a discussion with FearWolfz, I was made a verifier for Overwatch, but not for CE. The 2nd time I asked (last week) it was not acknowledged at all.
I can provide proof in a DM if you'd like.
FearWolfz is the only truly active mod for OW. He is the one that adds categories, updates rules, talks to the community on a daily basis, submits runs, etc. The mod rules for SRC state to try and aim to have 3 active mods for a game. I'm one of the most active runners/verifiers for OW, so I'd like to be mod to help out, especially since FearWolfz is the only active mod (not including verifiers, since we can't update rules or fix/add categories), and he's a busy person with his job.
