Regarding version differences, would I find any areas practiced on PC much harder to achieve on PlayStation?

Also been doing practice on the Steam Version and I was wondering if there's any major differences using the Steam version to practice Slots with or any other part of the route?

BGB, Gambatte or Bizhawk are the ones which should be accurate. It's what's allowed in the LA/DX Community anyway :)

Deeds, I think as long as the game footage isn't interrupted or paused then the submission should be fine. If there's a clear break of pause of the run then it could be declined.

You could always submit and one of the moderators will check it over for you.

I think some of the runs should be Any% but I also think that some of the runs should be NoWW/OoB. Runs like L2 Sword with the duping it would just be grab a load of bombs, get a few shells and bomb trigger the L2 sword basically. Having L2 NoWW/OoB makes it for an interesting run as people will have different routes.

Having Any% for World Map Completion would be boring too as it'd just be get a Feather some flippers and SS and hold left/right and keep going up once a line was complete.

999 Rupees - Not sure if Any% Dog House warping changes the chest IDs so unsure if it'd help. There's only a handful of big chest rupees anyway.

All Upgrades was Bomb, Powder and Arrow upgrades from the 3 Mad Hatter shrines, but if people wanted it so it's L2 Bracelet/Sword/Shield that's up to everyone to decide. I thought that most people would want a shorter run as they're not main categories and close to 100% run if you're collecting Sword/Shield/Bracelet :) It could do with rewording for the category title :D

As for when timing end I'd assume it's pretty straight forward for the most part but if something solid was in place that would be better.

As far as I'm aware the runners who run on PS2 change their disc speed to the fastest setting. Cereth talks about it slightly in this thread - http://www.speedrun.com/ff7/thread/fnpnu

To stream with your PS2 you'll need a capture card I couldn't recommend any to you as I've never owned one but I believe there's plenty to choose from.

I'm also new to the FF7 Speedrun community, I've only ran the game using the Steam Version.

As for emulators I'm unsure which emulators people are using to run the game (if any) I'm sure somebody can point you in the right direction as to which emulator you can use to run and to practice with!

I've just downloaded and tried to add in the Save Files which CreativeEly did but the save file removes itself from the folder once it's been added?

Has anybody else had this happen before and know of the cure?

I've even tried re-adding my old save files into the folder but it's removed them too :D

Always thought it was a cop-out as you put it.

It's kinda like running Legacy% and submitting that for every category we have... (Except hundo duhh)

FOR THOSE WHO DOWNLOADED THE 3-HEART ROM BEFORE 7th May 2016!

You will have to re-download the file again from the updated link.

For some reason when TGH played through it changed the D4 Boss Key to a Bracelet and upon looking into this the ROM had actually changed the item to a Bracelet. However it did not happen with me when i played through the ROM.

If anybody else finds something wrong with the ROMs please let me know and I'll try my best to fix it!

Hey everybody!

I've finally got around to editing a 1.0 ROM so you can do 3-heart runs using the current tech :)

The ROM is exactly the same as the original 1.2 hack with regards to room layouts.

I use analogue, and X.A for B,A and I just use the normal Start and Select buttons :)
