While holding down the attack button your character will automatically attack continuously. When fighting bosses try to keep the near the right edge of your screen as the weapon will connect earlier, thus allowing the next attack to begin sooner, saving time. This is especially useful when fighting the club boss as you need to be very careful not to hit other characters and break your weapon.
