All Bosses guide

With every boss in PTTR, go for the head, except with the Pimp. The most damage is done by holding down left click with multiple hit enemies and facing as far left as possible.

The Biker Boss may only need one forward stab to the head in order to kill them.
The Boxer is exactly the same, but you can exit as soon as either the power bar fills by 2 units or he ragdolls, the fastest way of killing him is to throw the machete from the bottom of the stairs but it requires some practice to hit consistently.

In order to kill the katana boss with just the machete and nunchucks, one of these combinations must be met:
- 8 hits (Machete) & 7 Hits (Nunchucks)
- 7 Hits (Machete) & 8 Hits (Nunchucks)
- 6 Hits (Machete) & 9 Hits (Nunchucks)
(5 and 11 is also do-able but impossibly rare)
The machete, nunchucks and knife will always consistently kill the katana boss unless you get literally the lowest possible durability with all of them.
The Pimp (for +Saloon) will die to his own cane, hitting him in the knee after kicking him over, the knee is consistently faster than the head uniquely for the pimp, and one hit killing him is definitely possible.

Currently, the fastest way of killing the Prisoner is with the toothbrush shiv in an opposing cell from spawn (check video), then running directly to solitary, the prisoner (to die in a single hit) must be attacked with a forward stab as close to the middle of the face as possible.

Blackbeard dies to the ham on his desk in tandem with a tankard or bottle afterwards, but the ultimate fastest strategy is to throw the chair at him whilst still moving towards the ham to deal an initial point of damage, throwing the ham at him on its last hit is also faster than swinging a final hit.

Attacks

While holding down the attack button your character will automatically attack continuously. When fighting bosses try to keep the near the right edge of your screen as the weapon will connect earlier, thus allowing the next attack to begin sooner, saving time. This is especially useful when fighting the club boss as you need to be very careful not to hit other characters and break your weapon.

Beneath NG+ Any% guide

Timer starts once the loading throbber on the bottom right dissapears.

To begin, you will need upgrades. Specifically, Wraith class (shard upgrade), Shotgun (double barrel preferably) and black katana (other good weapons might come in handy if you can't find a black katana). Upgraded starting weapon will be very useful to you (Good chance for DB shotgun/black katana, saving you time). Ammo upgrades for ranged weapons really help in the finale, the more shots you get with your OP DB shotgun, the better. Any other upgrades will help too.

You will also need to have unlocked Islands (I believe you need to defeat the Necromancer, I am unsure however) and the shortcut to Crystal Caverns (absolutely required).

As for the route, its Caves I (Pick up the starting weapon, perks, and map piece), Crystal Caverns I (Find the altar. Often enough it is in the first room, maybe a few rooms away however. If you cannot find it within a reasonable amount of time, restart. What amount of time is reasonable is up to you), Islands I (Best place to look for shotgun/katana if you do not have them yet, but otherwise simply hunt down the marked enemies, often enough they are shard lords, and leave), Islands II (ignore absolutely everyone and charge to the Aberration, all other enemies will immediately despawn, and kill him. The fight is relatively easy: blue tentacles shoot fireballs that will never hit you unless you stand still, and red ones hit you, but need you to stand near them to do so. Try to hit any rising tentacles ASAP as they will retreat into the ground again after a few seconds), Blood and fire (be careful as enemies can spawn inside of you, watch out for pursuers, also you need to clear each island before being able to continue) and finally the end.

Fighting the End is relatively simple, as long as you remain mobile, he will never hit you. The skeletons are quite literally zombies reskinned, and they bring weapons in case your katana breaks (never happened to me however). The end has a few attack types. First of all, airstrike (he will kneel and look up i believe), causing bombs to rain down. Easy to avoid as each bomb's landing spot is marked. Secondly, the ground laser explodey thing, where he kicks the ground and sends damage and pain towards you. Easy as all hell to avoid (I see a theme developing). Third, his area of effect self bomb. He will kneel down and deal damage around himself. Surprisingly, its easy to avoid. However, he himself is invincible, until you defeat his minions. At set intervals (I believe, might be tied to how many skelebros you kill) they show up, in pairs. This is where the shotgun finally comes to play. Starting off, Centurion and Pyro (easiest 2 to kill: Pyro has low HP: one shotgun blast can kill him and Centurion is slow as all hell, although his shield prevents easy shotgun kill). Once they die, their respective pillars lower. Secondly, Crawler and Beast (crawler is tricky, best just cut a leg off in between his attacks. Beast is breakfast for your shotgun as long as you hit head shots), and finally Golem and Deceiver (Kill the Deceiver first before they can even execute any of their moves, 2 shotgun blasts or a few slashes will do. Golem, like the Centurion, has HP but not speed. Shotgun headshots, and backstabs will do). Once all shard lords are down, the End turns into a normal looking guy, and finally becomes vulnerable to your attacks. Just get behind him and keep slashing at him: he has quite low HP.

Timer ends once the End dies.

Door Clip Glitch

There is a glitch that can save a few milliseconds. I call it the Door Clip Glitch. If you run at a door, and shake your cursor horizontally, there is a chance you can just teleport through it instead of taking the time of opening it.

Extending Load Screen Glitch

**THIS IS NOW PATCHED, AND BANNED**
(keeping the guide up for history I suppose)

There's an exploit whereby pressing pause and then unpausing in the loading screen for a scenario slightly extends the load (for some reason with the Beneath buffering icon in the corner instead?).
**This is a great bug because you can move around during this small period of time** whilst not actually being able to see the level. This will reduce the RTA by approximately 250ms. This is extremely useful for having an edge in Boss% categories.

As described, to do this:
- Pause in the loading screen for the level
- Unpause (possibly multiple times but ordinarily not)
- Mouse cursor will appear then disappear
- The whole time the Buffering icon is visible in the corner, you can move around in the level whilst adding no time to the start.
On consoles, it will work similarly but on PC the cursor visibility then invisibility shows what's going on a lot better.

Guide for Level 1 any%

Begin.
Run at an angle and jump on the table.
Jump off the table, still running, and head for the door that the machete boss lies inside. Grab a pool cane, either the one of the table or the ones on the holders, and throw it to the door, knocking it open. Grab the machete before the boss can, and kill him. Run out of the room and go into the basement, kicking open the door. Sometimes a NPC opens the door, saving some time, about 1 second. Run towards the boxer and kill him in one hit. Exit the stage.
