everyone (including casual runs that appear on YT) seem to play this on UV
@Ravenousky if i can execute this, then I'd rather have that as a subcategory
run is published now... that took too long
update regarding this - with a run completed by @VANCANTORUS, we came to a consensus to make a platform subcategory. GGs on the run!
to answer the initial question of:
Would a run be verifiable if it were played on the PlayStation 3?
It should be, and when we really see an actual completed run, only then the questions would answer themselves
oh hi,
I am on an adventure to do a Multiple Worms Games run of Quick Games, one of them being done on Reloaded, and I just completed a run of Quick Game, but I did it on a DLC terrain theme. Should that be a subcategory?
the DLC terrains that I'm aware of are:
- Puzzle Pack
- Forts Pack
- Time Attack
- Retro Pack
- Mayhem Arabic
- Mayhem Prehistoric
- Mayhem Wild West
- Crazy Golf Britannia
- Warzone[?]
Puzzle/Forts/Time Attack/Retro are all DLCs Mayhem terrains appear if you have Worms Ultimate Mayhem on the same Steam account Britannia appears if you have Worms Crazy Golf on the same Steam account unsure of how Warzone theme gets unlocked
in the shop there are also 6 purchasable landscapes, how should these be handled as well?
for reference, my run was done on the Puzzle terrain
i thought of an idea to speedrun bomb corp by clearing all days, also as a 4-way co-op, for it to potentially appear on a marathon. what are your thoughts?
ok, this might actually need further research, cuz some stuff overlaps, but some doesn't
afaik content in the two games are different, try watching casual runs of the two campaigns, for example
series mod here, are you talking about this game? https://worms.fandom.com/wiki/Worms_2:_Armageddon cuz if so, that'd warrant a different leaderboard hmu when you complete a run
update - Worms Crazy Golf is now part of the series, thanks to @GamingMaster
hey there, this will be a list of categories that are known to not have any full-game routes yet
as we haven't explored every game in every possibility, this is not an exhaustive list, therefore any other part of a mentioned game, or any other game, at all, not mentioned here, and mentioned in https://worms.fandom.com/wiki/Worms_(series) is yet to be researched in terms of speedrunning
are you interested in routing any of these, or any game from the Worms series not listed here? Please show your interest in the Worms Speedrunning Discord server by showing the progress of routing, doing IL runs, writing guides, discussing glitches, and discussing category rules! https://discord.gg/yDpgthApJF
so here goes, in no particular order:
- Worms Reloaded - Warzone, Retro Pack, Forts Pack, Community Pack, Tutorial
- Worms Revolution - Campaign (only the first two chapters are routed so far), All DLC campaigns
- Worms Ultimate Mayhem - Campaign from Worms 3D (there are IL runs, but no full game runs)
- Worms Open Warfare 2 - Campaign, Laboratory, and secret levels in Puzzle
- Worms W.M.D - Campaign, Challenge, Extra, Bonus (any% and 100%)
- Worms 3 (Mobile Ver.) - Campaign (there are IL runs of some missions only, and no full game runs)
- Worms Forts: Under Siege - The Trials, Tutorial
Hey there,
I thought about using RTA for full game runs, instead of the current janky way of the sum of IGT timing
it has some pros and cons:
- will allow resets in the middle of the run
- time will include map loading
considering that the campaign has not been routed yet, what are your thoughts?
