About a week ago me Chrissy and Srgt agreed to allow pregame manipulation for the All Babes category, which allows us to focus more on just gathering the babes and not have to worry about setting up the warp sequence like a normal Any% run. I have recently been working very hard on a really solid route for All Babes over the past few days. There have been a few roads blocks which I spent days trying to sequence break and then find the best way to just simply over come. A few of these challenges include the babe behind the snarf in episode 12, even with the snarf stuck you cant jump over to make it to her and the platforms dont spawn until you kill the snarf. The babes ontop of the mountain that you need to hit all the switches for in episode 4, and I even had wished we could enter spire maze and do it backwards but obviously we can't make that jump. Well now we can do all of that stuff because I figured out how to bring the jetpack through the HUB with us.
Its very easy actually, all we need to do is jump and be moving around with the jetpack before hand. Then you want to keep blasto doing this, when you get in the hub be careful you don't fly into the dark blasto cut-scene because it will softlock you kinda like swim glitching into the bosc fight early. If we run out of fuel in a stage we seem to just fall endlessly, although I happened to somehow get it to void me out once, which I have on stream so I will try and investigate it more. Also I do believe there might be more ways to carry the jetpack over, but I just wanted to make this announcement of the rule change and let everyone know about the glitch and new route. I will post videos very soon
I see there was new categories added, I don't know who made this decision or when, but I ask that we can please have them removed at least until we have some people running the category.
Empty categories just look very sloppy, and also I really don't like calling a category "Toad%" personally, I understand that you're beating the game with the Toads, but I believe the "%" at the end of a category name should represent the percentage of competition and not just a random name applied to the run.
I don't really like the fact that this was done with absolutely zero discussion, but I am open to discussing this instant change some with whatever responsible parties.
"This is just a quick explantion on the route we currently use for top times, you can store the ball in pre and skip moon pound going to fortress and then returning both balls to enter moon with a cartwheel clip to enter boss early.
That loses a bit of time (somewhere between 16- 26 sec or something) but ultimately is a lot easier for getting consistent runs as moon clip is basically a hope and pray trick.
Anything else that anyone has questions or anything please feel free to message me, this is by no means a perfect guide, just something quickly put together during stream for people who maybe interested in learning the run."
So I am just playing around a little bit right now when all of a sudden this happened
So what seemed to happen is that by shooting the moment blasto would be grabbing the ledge, it perhaps gave him just enough extra height to clear the jump. Not sure if it has to be the blast charge, how small the window is, or what areas it would actually work or not but just thought this was really cool and I should share.
Well the question is simple, is Blasto playable on any versions of the PS2, also is it banned from being ran on PS2 on the SRC leaderboards?
