@InLikeTheRose yes, catching Bugsnax with hats on is fine. We won't penalize you for doing any DLC content in the Base Game version. We just separated the categories so that those who want to do Base Game categories (without having to do the Broken Tooth quest line and catches) could do so if they wish.
For All Bugsnax, if you are only planning on collecting the 100 Bugsnax in the Base Game, submit it under the Base Game subcategory. If you plan on also catching all of the DLC Bugsnax as well, then you will want to submit it under the DLC subcategory.
Hey! I am definitely still around and run it occasionally (albeit rarely) but haven't ever run 100% or even completed all the achievements. I say go for it!
I really wish SRC notified you when you received replies in a thread, lol.
So glad this got replicated! For the record, just played it on a regular GBP though!
Hey there! This is straight from the Switch Pokemon Speedrunning Discord:
"Leaderboards for Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl will open on Monday, November 29th. This “embargo” on submissions is to avoid non-serious submissions, as well as an overload of submissions. This will also give runners time to make routes without the pressure of wanting to be an immediate world record holder."
Hey everyone,
I am dabbling in learning this speedrun, and while messing around in offline practice, I had this happen:
Now like I said in the description, before starting this file, I did do replays of the X-Wing section, the Trench Run and the Speeder Chase in my first file slot, which is a finished file. I have not been able to replicate it since, but my current theory is that it has something to do with the game storing the Trench Run's completion in the replay and applying it to the new file.
Basically, I'd love to see if someone is able to figure out a way to get this consistently. Thoughts?
Hey there! Unfortunately the only allowed emulators are Gambatte-Speedrun and Bizhawk as they emulate the GameBoy Color experience most accurately.
I have updated the rules to include Gambatte-Speedrun as an emulator option.
Hey everyone,
I have been running the game for some time on emu, and just recently switched over to console.
For my fellow console streamers, what is your preferred controller? Gamecube controller? Gameboy Advanced or SP? Other?
I wanted to use a Gamecube controller, but I am feeling that the stick is a little too hard to keep under control while using the bike, and the D-pad is atrocious. Anyone have any cheap alternatives?
