Ehh, I switch around depending on my mood. I'm currently learning Pokemon Sun, pretty much have the first hour of the game memorized, 5 more to go. I'm also interested in learning Sonic 2 with Knuckles since I love Knuckles as a character and Sonic 2 was my first game And when I'm just being casual I practice Wii Fit U obstacle course
I think the update looks great except for the news like MrMonsh mentioned, however, the profile looks kinda.. empty. Now that all the user info is placed horizontally, I think it would look really cool if you could add a quote or a short bio to your user page just to make things fun ^^
I don't like how they cut out the amount of runs viewable and the font is just... eugh. Doesn't really fit in that well with the rest of the style of the website
You can submit as many runs as you want to on the leaderboard, they just overwrite each other when they are verified
I usually have a hard time picking a game, I want to know everyone's selection process for choosing a game because I wanna actually start being serious about running games and not just choosing whatever I find. (the problem is that i don't have a game to run, there's just too many options I wanna do)
did your WR get rejected for being false? because we don't see any WRs on your profile. or any runs. in fact... you joined 3 hours ago...
oh sorry for being rude, I misunderstood what you were asking
You just answered your question, don't collect any collectibles. If you don't know how to implement a Low% why did you even ask?
I tried it, it's a pretty cute game. It takes like 4 minutes to complete though, so this wouldn't be a very good game in terms of optimizing for a speedrun.
(someone tell me how to quote reply) "The Good ending takes at least 1 minute longer than the bad ending" If it's a 1-3 minute difference what would be the point of even having a split switch? Just reset the run or do the run for that category because how you described it, the game still plays exactly the same up until the end.
okay, I am curious because I personally don't have a capture card so in the case I do run this game, would I have to put my run under "non-intentional" since my body wouldn't be in the frame (even if I do run the game as intended)?
Oh cool! Hi. I've been lurking around for a while too. Timer, you can just use LiveSplit (download it on the LiveSplit website obvi) or you can just retime when you finish recording if you can't use LiveSplit for whatever reason. In terms of rules... huh. Well, for starters, don't cheat. Most of the rules come from the game you wanna run. Just make your run watchable and follow the game rules to a T and you should be fine. Feel free to always ask questions, the speedrunning community would answer them. They've helped me thru a lot of newbie stuff too
pssssh you can just https://www.speedrun.com/games#platform=iOS&orderby=mostactive&unofficial=off
My old computer was very bad and couldn't even run livesplit or obs yet I still managed to do a run (Ultimate Flash Sonic on my profile). It's not a requirement, just have a screen recorder (or even a phone point at your computer) and a way to upload it to Youtube and you should be fine. For timing, you can just scroll to the start and endpoints :-)
can you not wait 7 days
