Hi. I'm thinking of buying a Nintendo Switch. But before I do, I wanna make sure there's no major deal-breaking differences in speedrunning certain games on it.

I noticed that the Switch isn't listed as a console on Mega Man X for SNES, yet other non-SNES consoles are. Why is this? Are there any major differences between speedrunning Mega Man X1-8 on SNES vs Switch? In terms of tech skills/glitches, frame-rate, or any other major differences?

Hi. I wanna buy a Nintendo Switch (probably used, but not Lite) for playing a Hat In Time, maybe Mario Odyssey, and speedrunning Super Metroid, Super Mario Bros NES, Mega Man X games, maybe other SNES/NES games, maybe Mario 64 and Sunshine (I know there's vids for these games), and maybe play Dark Souls.

But... Are the SNES NES games at original full fps on the Switch? (I don't mind 59 fps on Super Metroid. But if it's 30fps on Switch or something.... probably a deal breaker for me).

What speedrunning tech skills/glitches is missing on the Switch, if any? By any chance, is ALTTP on Japanese Switch store v1.0?

Is the 30fps for Hat in Time and Dark Souls on Switch gonna ruin speedrunning?

I heard that joycon controllers are ergonomically bad, snes or pro controllers have input lag, and gamecube controllers can have weird controls you can't change (yet you can change buttons for any other controller?

My experience: I've tried speedrunning Diablo 2 (a 25fps game) and playing competitive Smash Bros Melee at local tournaments (60fps).

Also, Mega Man X collection is considered a different game from Mega Man X games on Speedrun.com.... is the speedrun tech skills drastically different?

P.S. how can I search the forums here? The search bar doesn't seem to work for this.
