Differences from SNES/PS1/PS2 Games?

Hi. I'm thinking of buying a Nintendo Switch. But before I do, I wanna make sure there's no major deal-breaking differences in speedrunning certain games on it.

I noticed that the Switch isn't listed as a console on Mega Man X for SNES, yet other non-SNES consoles are. Why is this? Are there any major differences between speedrunning Mega Man X1-8 on SNES vs Switch? In terms of tech skills/glitches, frame-rate, or any other major differences?

I have tried the switch, xbox one and ps4 versions, and in some cases I have felt a delay in the mmx1 version of xbox one, the control also plays an essential role when playing, I feel comfortable with the ps4 version, but i hate the touchpad because of my big fingers

X1-3 noticeable input lag, slowdown is different or is gone from SNES and other emulators. X4-6 The input is way better than the SNES titles on the collection, cuts loads, remove's demos (that only matters for runs on X5 RNG, theirs a new version), has small quirks for each of the PS1 games that SCWeeb1 explains in the beginning of his 07/15/22 normal all stages run of X6. https://www.speedrun.com/mmx6/run/zgp158dz X7 dramatically decreases the loading. X8 also reduces loading and the only game in the collection to remove glitches such as Flying Zero.

yondpootis, There's noticeable input lag introduced with the Legacy Collection in X1-3?

From what I gather with XLC it does, it's weird. there's a video by GigaBoots that explains the lag well.
