It doesn't matter as the towers are temporary.
This has been the rule since I began speedrunning the game. And the rules a whole doomspire discord server followed for the whole time it lived.

Ok, so it is much more than what I thought fink had in mind. The towers could be completely be redesigned. Fink is still deciding whether he should use a newer design for the towers or if he should stick with the old ones.
The tools are literally just better versions of the current ones. And a lot of bugs will be fixed. Fink was supposed to do it a long time ago but he is very busy.
No obviously not, the tools will react instantly when you use them instead of having an annoying delay like the current ones.
@Unstable_Truss That is a tool issue, the new tools eliminate that issue, I think 100 kills will actually be easier considering the new tools work MUCH better and have instant activation.
A completely different set of brickbattle tools, they will work good unlike the current tools. All tricks with the tools will be much easier to do. They also have custom particle effects.
Tools are the major thing being changed.
New update coming very soon, completely new tools and such. How will the speedrun community be affected by this?

TASing doomspire isnt possible without creating scripts to simulate slowed down parts, which would be inaccurate itself.
Perhaps there is a way to place a trowel to prevent the towers from getting stuck at a certain point, Trowels despawn after 24 seconds so you would have to experiment with timing and such.
Hm, well mario RNG is different, the only technical case of RNG is bullet bill glitch, which isn't even random per se, you could theoretically do it everytime but it is very difficult and near impossible. Anyway, doomspire RNG for a private server is "fully" able to be manipulated if you attempt to do so. You have full control of the environment, meaning you very well may be able to find a way to make the towers fall each time, or most of the time. I've experimented with this and am very positive it is possible.

First explosion while standing on base is how it's been done since this was speedran.
No, the run starts when the first explosion occurs while you are on your base, if a rocket goes off before the run starts then that's when it starts.
Alright, Settings is fixed, I remodeled it a little bit. @Grump does this rocket problem happen each time?
