Hi, new to the speedrun.com community. I've been on sda before and general speedrunning "strats" before Twitch popularized it. Don't plan on anything big but want to speedrun slither.io, Kingdom (both versions), and Human: Fall Flat. These are all very doable and less challenging than HL2 for me. Also, Two Worlds. I would like to run that in AGDQ. ;)
I have speedrun some games but never really made much record for top spot. MK:DD! Time Trials records on the mario kart boards back in 2004-2005. I owned few games back then and I had really bad OCD about beating all the time trials ghosts and got good in the process. Mirror's Edge I was about to get good before my PC crapped out on me.
I've been playing competitively, mainly in multiplayer online games since 2004, my first game being CA Nexon BnB, which was a Hudson Soft approved bomberman clone for the Korean market. I managed Egg rank in the competitive ladder, out of 6 total ladder ranks. It took over 2 years to reach that before I quit to dedicate my time to competitive FPS. I competed in 6v6 CEVO-A in 2009-2010 as a Scout before quitting after burnout. And then took a short stint in competitive fighting games with SoulCalibur IV X360/PS3 in a major East Coast tournament with all the big guys who taught me a ton about the game. I personally know BrewtusBibulus, Jaxel, and others firsthand who know Floe and Aris before they got big. It's the old guard and it was poverty, but we big now.
I played in several other games, some failures in getting good, others getting good, but I enjoy learning systems. It stopped being about genre or game, but just learning that I feel is my endless goal.
Anyways, that's about it.
