We Become What We Behold, that game you run, has almost as many placed finishes as Super Mario 64!
That's pretty good challenge. Ask the moderator on the Melee forum.
Oops, for some reason it showed on the first page before I replied.
Nope. I don't care about saving face. It was to show who I am in case someone wanted to know, since I'm the head of this controversy. I'm fine being the heel if you want me to be.
Edit: Since someone did literally ask who I was.
My screenshot was to show I contacted sutilbu. That's about it. I have not said I did not edit your description nor do i want to refute that or anything posted thus far.
I do not intend to refute or prove anything as our story is the same in terms of screenshots. And you and I did not delete any youtube comments as of posting so people can judge for themselves on that of their accord. I think that's fair.
Not really. I did not delete anything and have same screenshots he has. I don't know what the big deal is. I am not refuting anything and have no reason to.
Edit: Screenshot only to show I contacted him.
No it has not taken even 24 hours for each approval. I am only waiting for sutiibu to approve it out of fairness. He should get it done in the week if that. Nowhere did I say I am the only verifier.
Edit: If you did not read but I already approved his run twice which made it to the leaderboards so it is best for someone else to approve the same run I have already approved.
I have contacted the head moderator and he will approve the runs until I return from field operation.
Hi, new to the speedrun.com community. I've been on sda before and general speedrunning "strats" before Twitch popularized it. Don't plan on anything big but want to speedrun slither.io, Kingdom (both versions), and Human: Fall Flat. These are all very doable and less challenging than HL2 for me. Also, Two Worlds. I would like to run that in AGDQ. ;)
I have speedrun some games but never really made much record for top spot. MK:DD! Time Trials records on the mario kart boards back in 2004-2005. I owned few games back then and I had really bad OCD about beating all the time trials ghosts and got good in the process. Mirror's Edge I was about to get good before my PC crapped out on me.
I've been playing competitively, mainly in multiplayer online games since 2004, my first game being CA Nexon BnB, which was a Hudson Soft approved bomberman clone for the Korean market. I managed Egg rank in the competitive ladder, out of 6 total ladder ranks. It took over 2 years to reach that before I quit to dedicate my time to competitive FPS. I competed in 6v6 CEVO-A in 2009-2010 as a Scout before quitting after burnout. And then took a short stint in competitive fighting games with SoulCalibur IV X360/PS3 in a major East Coast tournament with all the big guys who taught me a ton about the game. I personally know BrewtusBibulus, Jaxel, and others firsthand who know Floe and Aris before they got big. It's the old guard and it was poverty, but we big now.
I played in several other games, some failures in getting good, others getting good, but I enjoy learning systems. It stopped being about genre or game, but just learning that I feel is my endless goal.
Anyways, that's about it.
I am in the mod in question. I do speedrun the game, Nidhogg for PC, and managed only 11min something second run, but nothing to qualify as a good speedrun so did not post it up. Regardless, I stand by the standards set forth and my run had no music since I like to run without music so I would be DQed by the ruleset posed. I have already qualified the OP's run twice. I really think this is overblown, but I have come here to defend myself as he puts a weird public smear campaign for a rather niche title in a small, inactive community.
For some personality reason, chhipz thinks I only rejected his run. I have rejected 12 total runs from different runners, many who have posted either one segmented run or an imagepost. If the speedrun community thinks that is sufficient, I can re-release those runs as do fit. I have screenshotted these rejections in TIFF file in case something like this would happen and will PM those to the head moderator of speedrun.com or this community forum moderator (whichever works).
Putting my opinions aside, I await the head moderator to approve the run, since it's fairer that way. Am busy with work until end of February, so I can't approve any runs until then. I have to go to another city for field operation.
