Kitkat; whether or not you believe all the things you are saying I hope one day you'll step away from your keyboard and realize none of this is worth it. You've always taken moderation too far. This is just the internet, with strangers on the other side of the monitor. Just step back and try to enjoy the things around you. This is the last thing I will say here.
We tried as much as we can to avoid moderating people but people kept getting baited into confronting HypeGhost. We even timed him out a few times but people loved to respond to his antics even when we asked them to move on. We didn't ban him because you asked for it.
Just because a majority of people didn't agree with you doesn't mean you're a victim so stop trying to victimize yourself. No one was oppressed, we have never silenced people from simply voicing their opinions and sometimes they are against me or Zheal's. We have never made any large decisions without trying to hear from other people, stop trying to spin the narrative. You're now also pulling Mees's name up, who was gone for awhile for destroying the old discord? Zergu doesn't voice his opinions on these things, do you want us to strangle people for their opinions? We did not silence them. Who's name are you going to pull up next that doesn't participate in any of these conversations?
Luzbel still voices his opinions on the boards here despite running his own leaderboards because he still wants to improve FF7 speedruns. We still value his opinions and he specifically said he doesn't care whether it is added. If you were part of any of these conversations you would know but you are here to just brigade this thread and spew nonsense.
Where did you read I was ignoring actual speedrunners? Of the people named, one admitted to causing drama deliberately, we didn't hear Carnage's opinion (which doesn't mean we ignored him), Dave doesn't participate in any of this (doesn't even stream, he's moved on and is busy with life), Hypeghost was banned way before this (which everyone was even begging us to do and now you want to use him as an example?), we have seen Deano's forum post here, Kitkat re-joined the discord just to post a clown emoji.
The new IL boards were up for awhile before I even submitted anything. There's even an empty category anyone could have submitted for a "Free WR" but of course you don't care about the facts and instead want to jump to the conclusion I only wanted a "WR title" which means nothing to me without competition.
FF7 speedruns were already in a decline before any of this happened, stop trying to pretend adding insignificant IL boards like this has ruined it. We have actually seen new interest in submitting from people that don't run the game at all because it is easily accessible.
Goes to show what type of person you truly are. Congratulations.
I verified my own snowboarding runs because they are easy to verify for anyone to watch. But I will remove my runs anyway because I do not care to be on the top like people here are trying to suggest.
The only person we've banned (excluding obvious spam accounts) were Hypeghost who were known to be problematic to everyone and Kitkat who would just come in and out of the discord leaving messages like the one attached below without anything constructive to say. The one time I threatened to time people out was for people like you causing toxicity and arguments, derailing conversations. People who have been following the conversations will know the toxicity and drama seeking players are playing the same roles here.
Ptown, don't pretend you're a nice guy or you were voicing your opinion in the lightest way possible.
Those were not run ideas, they were thrown in just to harass us. We aren't deleting actual suggestions. Anyone that's actually paying attention to FF7 runs will know "First to rename Cloud" is a joke. Are you trying to brigade this thread? Snowboarding wasn't even my idea, I participated to submitting runs to encourage competition. It was less time investment for me to practice compared to doing a full run which I do not have time for. I would rather have someone beat my time. I will even remove my times right now because I don't care to be the top.
You're going to use examples like Hypeghost, that is known to be problematic even to yourself? Give me a break. We have direct evidence Ptown saying in his own discord he was drinking beer and stirring trouble for pure entertainment and drama. Luzbel himself said he does not care. I have not heard from Carnage. Dave hasn't even participated in any conversation in a long time since he is busy with life. Are you just trying to pull names out of a hat?
No one's opinion is going to change from this so I'm done with this conversation. We will continue to delete posts that are spam and harassment.
You use Mario and Zelda as examples but they both have category extensions that are similar to what we've just added as part of the IL boards. They are many games that speedruns minigames, are you going to denounce them too? They do not take away from the competition from the other categories. You focus way too hard on the words "WR" instead of the actual competition. The value is in the competition. The competition of the main boards aren't going to be diluted just because IL boards were added. We're trying to open more opportunities for competition in other areas and have fun. They weren't created just for people to grab a quick WR title. We're not the Olympics. WR titles by itself means nothing.
The "categories" you provided you have provided are just random segments of the game compared to a speed segment that can make sense to fit in a IL board. How long the segment is has nothing to do with this. Again, to use your examples of Mario, Zelda and many other games they too have separate categories for certain segments and minigames which some also happen to be short. We took the feedback of runners, new/old and people that contributed to the game. Majority of the people were either for it or did not care it was added. The only ones that were against it were the same usual troublemakers that wants to stir the pot (Which we have direct proof of). You act like we're just doing it within a circle of friends but that's far from the truth. You have no idea of the difficulties to keep this community satisfied. You're so blinded by contempt/hostility and can only see us as circlejerks.
We're deleting your posts because they're mockery and unconstructive. You clearly don't like the community and is only here to try to harrass others. Move on already and stop wasting other people's time and your own.
Since you want to act innocent, I'll just leave some examples of what was deleted.
They've just re-added it. IMO it should still be more condensed so it can show more runs though. Thank you guys for listening to the feedback.
I can provide a 100% save but we currently don't have a guide on snowboarding.

Duckstation memory card file goes to Documents/Duckstation/Memcards (You might have to rename the file depending on your memory card settings) Alternatively you can use an app called BlackChocobo to import the save from that file into your own Duckstation memory card.
I do have a guide to setup Duckstation for FF7 under the Guides section but in general you should have "CD-Rom Settings: "Seek Speedup: Infinite/Instantaneous" and "Read Speedup: 2x (Quadspeed)" enabled for submissions. (Even those settings probably don't matter for snowboarding)
You can ignore setting up Cheat Engine and Bigshoes sections since those are for practicing for the normal run.
Please bring back the recent runs submitted section on the right that was with latest threads/moderators/game stats.
PS1 Classic uses the open source emulator PCSX and is very slighly slower than the PC emulator required for digital (from short testing).
The decision isn't final yet since this particular situation hasn't come up but If the run is to be accepted then it will fall under the digital category.
Probably won't find a reason not to include it.
