• On PC, the game will run faster with V-Sync turned OFF.
• Timing starts when pressing start after selecting a file. (L + R on Switch)
• Timer ends when the screen fades out after completing the Impossible Lair.
• Seeing something like [2, 5] after a level means collect the 2nd and 5th T.W.I.T. Coins in that level.
• Totals are your totals thus far, not what you'll collect in a section.
• Hold the LB Button to quickly skip text.
A Bomb or Berry Jump is used frequently throughout the run. They are performed by jumping and starting the buddy slam animation and getting knocked back mid-air to get on top of objects like fences. Note you can't be too close to what you're trying to get on top of, or you'll be knocked away from the object. The general method people use is to jump on the 22nd "beep" out of 25 total beeps the berry will make. Here's an example.
A Slope Roll is the other trick used frequently throughout the run. They can be performed in a number of different ways.
- Rolling off of a raised platform to continue your roll up a slope. (Used when traversing from Lake to Beach)
- Jumping, moving slightly toward the slope you are trying to roll up, and slamming at an angle to the wall. Then roll immediately afterwards to roll up the slope. (Used to access Shipwreck Creek/Beach early) Here's an example.
- Wedging yourself between an object (like a box) and the slope, jumping, then rolling. (Only used on the slope directly west of the Lake Paywall.)
A Long Jump is the last trick that is used fairly frequently throughout the run. To perform one, start a roll, and jump very quickly afterwards. If done correctly, it will allow you to gain some extra height/distance on your jump. It is used for Ninpalk Jump, and Pipe-Man jumps. Here's an example.
