Race Mode is an amazing new feature in WMG! I get that this wouldn't work for duos or higher, but can we allow solo runners to use Race Mode? It literally has its own timer and would cut out the entire process of having to figure out your time. Would love if we could make this work. Please consider, and thank you for your time :)

I just thought about this a little bit and race mode is fine for that, there is no stroking out in race mode so that already coincides with the rules. Honestly imo since this is pretty dead we can just archive all these runs and make new rules based on race mode. Its a built-in speed run mode for the game, why wouldn't we use it? It just makes too much sense to me to overhaul everything in favor of this new mode

I’d be pretty ticked if this wasn’t added, it almost seems made for speedrunning. This should definitely be added.

Honestly, considering that so many runs would be effected by this, the only way I see it happening is if a new page was created specifically for race mode. It just seems unjust to make EVERYONE try their perfect runs again.

You can just join the WMG Discord and submit runs there. It has more people and it switched to race mode immediately after its release. Moreover, it demands that you just submit a photo of the scorecard with a timestamp rather than a full video. The mods there are active every day.

They added that mode because of us speedrunning the game. it is a great feature and we would accept them. We worked with mighty coconut to develop this feature a long time ago and they finally released it like 2 years later

Also, they are active but none of the race times even come close to our speedrun records... We are a level above the current race mode leaderboards

They now have many faster-than-here race times, over there.

I think it shouldn't be too hard to find a constant number to subtract from (or add to?) a non-race time, to make the modes line up so we can compare them apples-to-apples.

The thing I personally really don't want to lose (that the other site doesn't have) is the video format. I always wanna see those shots, and how they did it so fast!

The main thing I dislike about running in Race mode is that dang countdown timer at the start of each round. If I mess up early, restarting costs so much time waiting around for nothing!

Just started playing this game and noticed race mode so i came to the speedrun website. 6 months later and race mode still hasnt been added... Idk why you didnt just create another category called "race mode" there is no reason to get rid of old runs. Crazy.

@TheBeardedHorsemen Race mode videos ARE allowed! It does still have to be a video (with the in-game audio), not just a screenshot. They will be compared fairly to existing runs, without having to add a whole other category.
