noticed that really dumb you can still hover down from picnic if that helps at all and i think i was able to throw a tent somewhere to get up actually

any version 1.0 or later is fair game just make sure to have the title screen in the vod to show version. they nerfed pinch whacker so earlier versions are better currently

3 Categories are up and i will eventually add more but lets get some runs in these before hand. If you have suggestions for categories that you wanna see let me know. The discord wont be done for a little while and ill let you know when its ready.

Just so everyone is aware the game will be fulling releasing on the 27th and the leaderboards will be wiped for (THE LAST TIME). I will not be accepting runs until the 30th or the 1st. I will need time perfecting the page and setting up all the runs. It will also take me time to get a set list of rules.

I am currently in the works of getting a discord set up and i will let everyone know when it comes. Even if you dont do runs or ever plan to do a run still join because updates will most likely be given on there aswell.

If anyone is looking to help out and become a mod on speedrun.com or on the discord let me know because i will need help.

We dont know exactly when the game comes out but when it does the leaderboard will be reset and closed for a couple days. In the days that it is closed i will have to create a bunch of rules and do all of that stuff.

One of the main reasons i want to make sure everything gets set before i accept runs is that after creating a category if i make any changes to it, it might break and get rid of everyones runs and i dont want that to happen.

To start i dont wanna overload the leaderboards with a bunch of random categories so when it does go up expect there to be the basic ones. The general categories will most likely be [Any%, 100%, (Burgl chips?), All Bosses, (Specific Bosses?). If anyone has ideas for categories let me know because i do want there to be a variety.

If anyone is curious why i haven't been doing anything with speedrunning its just because i have little motivation to do runs knowing 1.0 is coming and that the leaderboards will reset anyway. I do wanna do some more runs soon though.

Lastly i probably will want a few more mods for when 1.0 comes because i expect a lot of traffic. If you are interested just message me and maybe post some runs.

i dont know how to put a discord together but if someone has experience let me know so we can try to get one going.

Yea i mean we only have one big glitch so far which is the bed one so as long as you dont use that it would be fine

I don't think its intended but its just an oversite in the code. I honestly i think an exploit like that is fine seeing as its something i think the developers know about and haven't gotten rid of so in their eyes they don't see it as a glitch.

Well heres the last ill say about the glitches They are allowed and they dont only benefit me so stop acting like im am a tyrant for using glitches. Everyone can use glitches and im not hiding them. Im sorry that it said glitches weren't allowed when i didnt even put that there. Im not going to stop using glitches just because you dont like it. If you dont like glitches then i dont think speedrunning is for you.

Also for you to know i wasnt the first to do a glitch in a run it was the guy who beat your broodmother run and he used a different patched out form of the bed glitch to glitch through the haze door. Also i didnt verify that run kknighty did so i guess even though he put that in the rules he still allowed it.

Lastly stop trying to hate on me for every little thing. Literally you just try to point out every thing. If you really cared you would go do some runs but i think you really just want to hate bomb. You havent submited a run in a year. I dont really care i think your criticism is valid but dont die on the hill of no glitches

I added a glitches and glitchless to any% and i added mild medium and woah to broodmother assistant manager and wolf spider. Sadly having glitches and glitchless and all the difficultys on one category would clutter it up so glitches will be allowed on those.

Also i cant believe your mad at me for doing glitches in a speedrun im actually so confused

Oh i saw the rules and saw kknighty added no glitches and i didnt see that my bad. Also i re added help burgl just make sure you do a new run on the new version

1 if people really want burgl% back im fine with doing that you would just have to redo a run on the newest update. also it wouldn't be the main run because its not really the story(or at least all of what we have currently 2 Having the mindset of keeping old runs that have the potential to be out right unbeatable on the leaderboards will kill the game. What i mean by that is if codzta's 4:09 was completely unbeatable on the newest patch that would not be enjoyable to people who dont want to play a old version. and also a hastle if you wanted to beat it yourself. 3 I dont know why your trying to pull a one over on me lol. saying that the glitches break the runs lol. Technically the only category that didnt allow glitches was the burgl% because people were going through the anthill. Only very recently have i been using glitches in newer runs because its for fun and faster. If you dont think glitches should be allowed i got to say you shouldnt speedrun. My thought on a glitch less runs are that they are cool but seeing as the game isnt fully out it wasnt my top priority. If there is a demand for the any% run to have a glitchless i would be fine adding it.

Also your point of archiving runs is valid but there isnt a good way of doing that on this website also we still have the vods Sorry

I really don't know what to say lol. For one this game isn't even fully out yet so doing a runs on any old version is just stupid. There has been so much new content that the game is a completely different game each and every update. If you think i deleted runs for my personal benefit your wrong. I have put the most hours out of anyone in this community making routes and grinding runs and i wiped my own runs. I did not wipe runs because i wanted the community to die but like come on your gonna sit there any tell me that this games speedruns have not changed since the game came out. I literally told you chewy that i didnt want to add sub categories to broodmother until the wipe. if you want me to add more categories i would be down and it would help grow the community i hope. And to knightyy man i really dont know what to say. this is the first time you have interacted with the community or done anything since you gave me mod. I have tried adding you on discord before. Not only have i done everything with this site but i have done soooo many runs. you haven't even done a run in a year. The only discernable argument i get make out of your post was that your mad i got rid of burgl%. Burgl% was the whole story of the game up until this lastest update. if you even played the game anymore you would know that the category is obsolete seeing as they added some more story. The story is the meat of a speedrun you dont see people only speedrunning mario odyssey untill sand kingdom and stopping . Burgl percent was speedrunning until that point and now i have turned the category into more of the story. And as i said this will probably not be the last wipe seeing as the story isnt even finished and the game is not done. If you think that is stupid then all i have to say is you dont really care about the game and you just care about a time you put on the leaderboard a year a go.

The random access memory run has the guide in the description and i will make a video guide on it as well This is the new main run seeing as it follows the main story quest so far if anyone has any questions please ask also i will probably have a run up soon for you guys to watch how its done

Alright everyone the day has come for the first wipe of the leaderboards. A new giant update has changed almost everything about speedrunning this game.

• (THIS WILL NOT BE THE LAST ONE) Either when a new huge update or until when the full game gets released the leaderboard will be reset again.

The goal with this reset is to get everyone back on the boards. I would like to see anyone any everyone at least try one new category and the goal is to get 51 new runs to get a total of 100 total runs for this game.
