That's how it works, for example Sidewinder has runs separated by normal and ultra shortcut. AA and AA2 will have this distinction too as soon as one of the mods is available

They can be easier, there are quite a few mechanics exclusive to public games that can make you go faster and skip parts of the map. You didn't use them in the run but for the sake of consistency we do all runs in private lobbies.
