Mod Note: Timing technically starts on selecting difficulty which wasn't shown in your run. Make sure to do that next time.
Just wanted to make you guys aware of the leaderboard for the Game Boy Color sequel to the game. It's pretty fun to run and we could always use more runners!

Here's the link for the discord as well:
Hmmm, it's been a long time since I've played it and I've switched PCs since then so I don't remember the exact settings, but I did use Kemulator. There's also an android app called J2ME Loader that plays it perfectly, although I know it's more convenient to run it on a computer.
Yeah, I think a low 19:xx is probably the current limit to this category. Not gonna get any lower unless new strats are found or we work on improving the torchless route.
GG dude! Loved all the slight optimizations you found
Thanks man! I learned a lot from watching your run so thanks for being a pioneer in the category!
Would it be possible to get an IL leaderboard for individual chapter runs?
So you really think the runners with the top 4 out of 6 times in the game would vote to have their times removed? I am highly doubtful of that. Also I'm not really understanding your VBA analogy as that's an emulator vs real hardware issue and we are talking about a glitch that occurs on real hardware. Assuming you are right about it being a slow hard drive issue (which I am also doubtful of as I have a pretty fast hard drive and had no problem doing the glitch), there's strong precedent in lots of other games for allowing hard drive specific glitches. Like there are Xbox games where a specific Xbox model is recommended because the hard drive used in that iteration makes the trick easier. If anything you would just make two different categories, one that allows super jumps and one that doesn't. At the end of the day, like you said the community is small and not very active and I'm not super invested in this board, but it just seemed weird to me that you would unilaterally ban a glitch used in the majority of the runs on the board without consulting anyone
Hm, that's strange. When did the vote on this rule change happen? I must have missed it.
We are almost finished moving all of the legacy GBA runs over to the GBA board and once we do so you can probably remove the GBA leaderboard entirely so that there's no confusion. Thanks!
So I just submitted a full game run of this game and there are actually 6 levels in the game. At least for the Mind Game game mode. I might do Countdown mode on my return flight so I'll let you know how many levels that one has.
Would it be possible to add an IL Leaderboard with a different level for each section of the game (there are 4 or 5 if I'm remembering correctly)?
I've created a discord server for the game. Feel free to join! https://discord.gg/J6VuAqDTzY
Decided to create a discord for this game. It's about time we have one I think and it'll make it easier to talk about things like this rather than using forums which are slow. https://discord.gg/J6VuAqDTzY
